Simpex 3600 Tripod

Overall, a great product for beginners.
Folded height: 2'1"Maximum height: approx. 6'0"Maximum operating height: 5'5"Minimum operating height: 2'0"The simpex 3600 is an entry level tripod for beginners which claims to handle a weight of 4kg, made up of aluminum to provide sturdiness. The tripod can work expectantly with a mounted weight of 3kg or under, it gets wobbly after 3.5-4kg. It claims to have an aluminum frame which feels more like a high quality plastic coated with aluminum. It has a 360° rotating mounting head, which works just fine horizontally but is a bit loose vertically which makes it difficult to use it at certain angles (stays intact at extreme angles only). It has two bubble-levels, one for the legs and another one for the mounting bracket which is very much needed at uneven ground platform (eg. Hill top). The flip lever leg lock closure is good for shooting at uneven surfaces as you can select the heights of each leg individually. The ends of the legs have a ball movement feet which makes it desirable for uneven ground. It has a radial tri brace for stability, but, it's only useful for smaller heights since it starts getting wobbly at its maximum height. Other specifications include a geated elevator column with crank for height adjustment at the mounting head and a handle for easy carrying of the tripod. It is a sturdy and strong tripod which is perfect for lighter DSLR such as Nikon D5500, but not for high end DSLR on the heavier side like Canon 5D mark III. It is comparatively light weight at approx. 1.5kg. If you're confused between 2400 and 3600, go for the latter as it has a more sturdy frame and an additional height advantage. Simpex is surprisingly better than Benro and Photron as it has a more thicker material used in the frame. It's almost the vanguard for entry level DSLRs. Go for it without a second thought as it packs in a lot for the price charged.

of course for beginners and still photographer this is the best choice. material is very good . 6 feet when unfolded. easy to carry with. but makes little noise while shifting the angle . not for video shooting with shifting angle.
