That being said, it could help with the pain during if you use the product prior to tattooing. Improving the elasticity of your skin can help alleviate some pain during the process but as others have said, tattoos hurt and well that's just part of the process. Keeping your fresh tattoo moisturized after can also alleviate some pain as well. For aftercare, you can use bacetrin with lidocaine but honestly I don't know if you will really notice much difference. **Q: Should I wash with antibacterial soap before each time I need to add more because my tats getting dry? Or, should I just add more as I need it? Thx.** A: Do yourself a favor and buy some Saniderm (no I’m not a salesman for them). After the first 24 hours of having the initial covering on- remove the covering, wash with soap (antibacterial shouldn’t be needed) then let it dry for a bit, maybe an hour or so. Once dry apply Saniderm bandage to your tattoo. Leave it on for at least five days- longer if you can (the longer the better). Carefully peel the bandage after you’ve waited that long in shower using hot water to loosen the Saniderm.
