CasioMen's MQ24-7E Black Casual Watch

This is actually my second time purchasing this exact watch. And there's a reason why I'm buying it again.I bought this watch 2 1/2 years ago when I was looking for a cheap analog watch that could also be stylish. And as you can see, this watch is one of the better designed watches out there for less than $10. It looks professional and I've actually worn this to interviews as well as weddings. I've also wore this watch to basketball, running, and other sweat producing occasions. And I don't feel guilty about doing it because it's less than $10! Not only that but it's also very easy to clean as the band is rubber so all you need to do is to rinse it with water. It tells time very accurately as well. I've only ever had to change the time whenever daylight savings happened. Other than that, it's been keeping track of the time with absolutely no problem. The battery life is phenomenal too. Because it's so simple (no date, day, stopwatch), battery life lasts for a long time. The first one I purchased had its band ripped (I did everything with it so I was surprised it lasted that long) and so it's been sitting on top of my shelf for awhile but even after 2 1/2 years, the watch is still going strong with the accurate timing.I guess the only negative thing that I would have to say is that it's simple. There no way to tell which day or date today is. So if you're looking for a more multi-functional watch, you probably want to move along. But if you're looking for a simple watch that's cheap, sturdy, stylish, and tells time accurately, I'll highly recommend this watch to you. I've gotten many compliments over the watch and they're all surprised to find that it's only $10. Even if my current one dies or the band rips, I'd gladly purchase this watch again.

Let's be honest here, this is a cheap watch. I'm not going to be reviewing this as though I spent a lot of money on it, because I didn't. I've had this product for 5 months and have only one complaint: the crystal has a few nicks in it. No surprise there, really. I work an outdoors manual labor job and something like this is bound to happen. That's the whole reason I bought this watch anyway: to be a cheap punching bag that I can wear at work. It's been through hours of rain and quite a few beatings and still works great. It's not uncomfortable and it hasn't lost time to any noticeable degree. It's not anything fancy, but I certainly like the style of it and I've even gotten a few compliments on it, which I found odd considering it's just a couple rubber straps attached to plastic. Overall there's really nothing I can complain about. It's easy to set, easy to read, fairly tough, very dependable, comfortable, and not the eyesore that cheap watches often are.

There are a number of reasons I love this watch:1. It's small and light. I don't like the feel of a heavy watch. Metal is too heavy; most sports watches are too bulky.2. No allergic reactions. I get a light rash from many watches due to a mild allergic reaction to nickel (which apparently is pretty common). The backing on this watch is stainless steel and doesn't irritate at all.3. Batteries are cheap and easily replaced. I've had this watch for a year and had to replace the battery once. The back pops off with a small screwdriver or pocket knife. I ordered a pack of 5 batteries for under 5 bucks, so I'm set for years to come.4. It's inexpensive. I have a history of losing and breaking watches. I'm not out too much if this one gets lost or left in the hotel room. My 4-year-old son likes to play with it and I don't have to worry about what will happen with it.5. It's durable! This is the first watch I've had that has lasted over a year. There are a few scratches on the face (my fault, obviously) but the wristband and other elements of the watch are in terrific condition.Two notes on the watch: it is not waterproof, but it is water resistant. When you pop off the backing, you'll see a little rubber ring that keeps water out. Remember to keep the ring in place when you pop the backing on again. Secondly, it doesn't have any bells or whistles: no light, no glow, no alarm, no date. This is how the watch stays to light and sturdy (less stuff to break) but if you like that sort of thing you'll want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, buy five or six of these watches for yourself and you'll be set for life.

I had my older Romanson watch for more than 7 years until the metal band broke just recently. I decided it was probably time to buy a new one and found this one with a decent price and look with pretty well reviews from other buyers. So, I didn't hesitate to place an order and thanks to Amazon Prime, I got it after two days, but to the disappointment that the battery had already died. Having no experience of opening the back cover of any watches let alone replacing the battery, I took the watch to Wal-Mart, but they didn't know how to open the back cover (like it was rocket science!) The manual that comes with the watch doesn't say a word on how to do it and the jewelry shop in our small town was closed for the day. I decided to give it a try and boom! In a few seconds I opened the back covers of my both watches and replaced the battery from the older one to the new one in a nick of time. So, for less than 10 bucks, I got a new watch and learned changing battery for wrist watches.The package that the watch came in was just a poor quality inside an Amazon box. This, the already dead battery and the fact this watch doesn't show the date are the reasons that I am not giving this watch five stars. So far, the watch is working as expected, though: showing me the time.Editing 08-12-2012:I downgraded this watch from 4 stars to 1, because the watch keeps stopping very often. I am getting sick and tired of adjusting the time every now and then and find out that it's not working again. Frustrated!
