I had this alarm professionally installed; and I’m glad I did. It took him two hours (SUV); and no doubt it wudda taken me two days to me to install/screw it up and then I’d call him anyway. I now know there are various options (like 30/60-second delay auto lock); but my installer said there were none. . The company is not responding to me, and seems not to want to talk to layman/customers – – only the installer who is not responsive to me. So I am left in a lurch. Most notable is the fact that the alarm remote won’t operate very far - half what my car keys do. operates at far less distance than my car key. Sometimes it doesn’t lock/unlock at all after sometimes until five or six presses - even standing next to the car. ## Features - This product is by Directed Electronics ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #1,342,681 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #1,779 in Automotive Replacement Batteries | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 14 Reviews | ## Images ![Directed Electronics Alarm Backup Battery (520t) - 1 Pack - CAR - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61AODtaiFTL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another solid Directed alarm accessory *by C***. on November 28, 2024* Works just like its supposed to…Directed Electronics is always solid ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Installed and working *by T***S on September 8, 2024* (this review I wrote for the alarm itself: this device is just the battery backup - should the burglar try to shut off the alarm by removing the car battery).
