Featuring a large diameter cylindrical intake tube and a premium reusable air filter, it enhances throttle response and engine efficiency. Designed for easy home installation and supported by a Limited Lifetime Warranty, this vehicle-specific upgrade is a must-have for Jeep enthusiasts seeking reliable performance gains and long-term durability. ## Description Unlock More Power: Give your engine the airflow it deserves with Rough Country's Cold Air Intake System. Designed to increase horsepower, improve throttle response, and enhance overall engine performance, this premium intake delivers cooler, denser air that helps your engine produce more efficient combustion and stronger acceleration. Whether you're towing, commuting, or exploring off the beaten path, you'll enjoy a noticeable improvement in performance every time you press the throttle.Maximize Airflow Efficiency: Factory intake systems can restrict airflow and limit your engine's potential. Rough Country's free-flowing intake design relocates the air filter away from the hot engine compartment, allowing it to draw in cooler outside air. Combined with a large-diameter intake tube and high-flow cylindrical filter, this system dramatically improves airflow over the factory airbox, helping your engine breathe easier for increased power, efficiency, and responsiveness.Premium Reusable Air Filter: Each intake includes a high-flow, washable, and reusable performance air filter engineered to provide exceptional filtration without sacrificing airflow. Simply clean, re-oil, and reinstall the filter to maintain peak performance while eliminating the recurring cost of disposable replacement filters.Simple Bolt-On Installation: Upgrade your vehicle with confidence. This intake system is engineered for a straightforward installation using factory mounting locations, requiring no cutting or permanent modifications. Spend less time in the garage and more time enjoying the added performance.Built to Last: Constructed from premium-quality materials, Rough Country's Cold Air Intake is built to withstand the heat, vibration, and demands of both daily driving and off-road adventures. Durable construction ensures dependable performance mile after mile.Optional Pre-Filter Protection: For drivers who frequently encounter dust, sand, mud, or other harsh environments, an optional pre-filter bag is available to provide an additional layer of protection. This accessory helps shield the reusable air filter from excessive debris, extending cleaning intervals while maintaining excellent airflow.Limited Lifetime Replacement Warranty: Backed by Rough Country's Limited Lifetime Replacement Warranty, this Cold Air Intake delivers the performance, durability, and confidence you expect from a trusted name in off-road performance.Notes: ONLY fits 4.0L engines. NOT for sale in California or other states adopting carb regulations. Review: Works great, the shroud takes some modifying to sit flush but easy to fix. - So to start, the only issue with installation is having to man handle the shroud a little to get it to fit flush. As stated in other reviews the tabs don't line up perfectly and take some elbow grease to do so. Other than that, super please with the installation process. As far as gains, u definitely get better throttle response with this. I live out in the mountains and was struggling with maintaining speed going up the mountains, that is no longer an issue at all. 1st time the tires spun in the xj on pavement lol. It also sounds great, u can actually hear the air being sucked into the cone and makes the jeep sound a little beefier. Theres is most definitely an increase in power, looks great under the good, functions better than i expected it to no doubt. Still getting five stars with the pain from the shroud because of the actual boost in throttle response and power. Can't beat the price either. I would definitely purchase again. Review: Install on 92 xj 4.0 - Nice intake, fairly simple install. However, it seems the lower mounting tab was incorrectly bent for my 92. It was a simple fix, just straighten that tab and rebend where it comes off the shroud (pictured). The clamps seem slightly too big, i will be replacing those. Also on my jeep there was a second line hooked to the intake, which this setup doesnt have a spot for (pictured). It runs to an emissions canister and can simply be capped off. Overall nice intake, good build quality, looks good, and decent price. Just needs some minor adjustments to better suit my needs ## Features - Increase Power & Performance: Free-flowing intake design delivers cooler, denser air to help increase horsepower, improve throttle response, and provide stronger acceleration. - Maximize Airflow Efficiency: Large-diameter intake tubing and a high-flow cylindrical filter improve airflow over the restrictive factory airbox, helping your engine breathe easier and perform more efficiently. - Washable & Reusable Air Filter: Premium high-flow filter provides excellent filtration without restricting airflow and can be cleaned, re-oiled, and reused for long-term performance. - Simple Bolt-On Installation: Engineered to use factory mounting locations with no cutting or permanent modifications required for a straightforward performance upgrade. - Built for Lasting Performance: Premium materials withstand engine heat, vibration, daily driving, and off-road use for dependable performance mile after mile. I’m not sure about the intake size but again if you have skills you can make anything work if you want. **Q: Does this have the velocity stack like the spectre?** A: it does not **Q: Will this fit my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0?** A: No. The air boxes are different from the Grand Cherokee and the Cherokee Sport. **Q: Does this come with a carb OE sticker?** A: Not sure what the carb oe sticker is but it just came with the Rough country sticker. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, the shroud takes some modifying to sit flush but easy to fix. *by J***E on February 2, 2025* So to start, the only issue with installation is having to man handle the shroud a little to get it to fit flush.
