Its a well made sword though. I just wish it was 1095 steel instead of 1040. If you sharpen it yourself it can be razor sharp. I use valve grinding compound from automotive store on a leather strop and its a deadly sharp sword now **Q: Will it rust?** A: All good weapons need maintenance like oil and sharpening when used. Put in a dry place like a wall for decoration etc, it will hold well between oilings. But steel is made of iron and iron does rust under poor, moist conditions. Bottom line: take care of your sword and it will hold up well.
