DJI OSMO Pocket Part 5 - Wireless Module Base - US Dealer

I use this module when I am by myself to start video recording while in follow-me mode when I am away from the camera. It allows me to set up the OSMO Pocket on a tripod, move away from the camera, lock on to myself using my iPhone, and then start recording and have the camera follow me while I skate by the camera.

Got this adaptor to use with the DJI app for my Osmo Pocket. It takes a minute for the app to connect but it works like a charm. Simple plug it in and the app recognizes it. So much easier to use for the camera when it's just you setting up the shot.

I was expecting a simple little device that would allow WiFi connection over a good range but relatively short. Well I say, I have been able to get over 100' range with little or no signal loss or lag using my iPad mini4 or galaxy note 9. Great product and yes it is a simple 'little' device, I love the size, and pair this with the polar pro WiFi tripod mount and you are golden.

I have been waiting for this module since I got my osmo on day one. This one is awesome because1. I can control my osmo pocket from anywhere.2. I am able to use Pro mode.3. The response time is pretty fast between the osmo and my phone.4. It works very well with my iphone6 and Galaxy note8.5. It makes my osmo pocket more stable when I put it on any flat surface such as a table.6. I can charge my osmo while I have it on the wireless module.7. I can choose 2.4ghz or 5 ghz when I connect it with wifi.I take one star out because1. When I tried to make it work with my note8 for the first time, it took about 30 minutes to set up. I tried it with my note 8 first with bluetooth or wifi, it didn't pair at all. I tried this and that such as reboot my phone, wifi 2.4 or 5 ghz, it still didn't work. I gave up with my note8 and then I tried it with my iPhone6. It paired up easily. So I tried it with my note 8 again then it worked. I don't know why but it worked. After the first-time pairup, I never have an issue with the pairup process again.2. There is lag time when I connect it with blutoooth if the phone stay far from osmo more than 5 feet. I mean you will see some kind of missing part on the screen when you move gimbal up down left right. The screen on your phone will not update quickly when you try to control the gimbal from your phone.3. I think the price should be around $29.99.Thank for fast shipping to MD from the seller SSE Photo & Video. I ordered it on 1/15 and I got it on 1/19. It's much faster and cheaper than the official DJI store. I tried to order from DJI and their processing time was 2-3 days at that time. And the shipping time would be longer. And you have to pay extra $15 for shipping if you order less than $75. That's not cool, DJI.

This is a must have for the DJI Osmo camera. It allows you to control the camera wirelessly from an app on the iPhone. Range is pretty good also.I set this up on a tripod and I can control the camera easily from my phone.I set the camera up on top of a dougout to record my sons baseball game.

Was easy to connect to my OSMO Pocket and allows me to use the camera with no cables attached. It would be nice if there was a connection that I could use to mount on my tripod.

I hesitated to purchase this add-on item for my new OSMO Pocket camera that I enjoyed using so much. However, after using it for a few times for the wireless access function and using it as a base for charging and time lapse photography, this little gadget is worth the money IMO. However, due to the small size, one can misplace or get stolen easily! So be extra careful while using it in the public and perhaps pack it with the usb-C cable that's needed for charging purposes. Otherwise, this is a must have before buying any other accessories. Enjoy!

The wifi seems to work, but it does not charge the OP. Very disappointed that DJI have not addressed this issue, and it has been an issue for at least a year and a half. I've seen posts on forums that say you must use their supplied cable, which is too short and not practical, for the charging to work.
