Great product. Loud with a bright strobe.

Luckily, I bench checked the system before I installed it.The alarm did nothing.I discovered that the power source defective.I replaced the power source, tested it, and found that it was then working properly.The alarm started to work and then stopped.I checked the power source repeatedly, and it was fine.I tried all settings, and with 12V and 24V, and could not get the alarm to work again.

Very good outdoor alarm system. Meets the FDNY and Dept. of Buildings requirements.

This alarm is amazing! It is quite large but super loud. Maybe it's just me, but I love the sound it makes. It can run from 8 volts to 33 volts. First you just screw in the plate, then screw in the wires. Then snap on the alarm and screw it in and your done! It has 3 volume settings, but low is very VERY loud. The medium volume is good for a super loud sound but high volume is dangerous and there's a warning in the instructions that on high volume it can permenatly damage your hearing. It's shiny and red and very thick plastic, super light weight to. It has many candela selections (brightness of the strobe). Lowest is 15 candela and the highest is 115. The alarm has two code settings, continuous (which is a non stop, steady sound) and temporal code-3 (1/2 sec on, 1/2 sec off, 1/2 sec on, 1/2 sec off, 1/2 on, 1 1/2 sec off, repeat......it basically sounds 3 times every four seconds.) the sound is very unique. It's not high pitched it's very low pitched and raspy. I like it but people find it annoying, but I guess that's the point so you can get out of the building. System sensor is an amazing manufacturer and this is a good alarm.Please press the "helpful button" if this was...well...helpful!
