Great everyday luggage for sportbikes
I bought this because it is one of the few tail bags that straps UNDER a passenger seat. No need to route straps down to the passenger peg brackets, license plate frame or any of that sloppy stuff. It's nice and clean, installed.I also bought a tank bag for my Honda CBR500R, a Cortech 12L one. It's just the right size, and it's very handy, but to my surprise, it is not the one that stays on the bike all the time, as it kind of ruins the lines of the bike. This one doesn't; it looks like it was made for the bike. The tank bag, I use for day trips or longer, along with this tail bag, and I don't have luggage hanging off the sides of the bike, into the breeze, wrecking the slick aerodynamics of a sportbike. The bag is big enough for a small grocery run. Two bottles of wine and a bag of frozen fried rice from Trader Joe's will fit in with it un-expanded. Zip the expansion open, and it accommodates a few more groceries nicely. Don't plan on that extra capacity though: if you're like me, you'll always think you can get more in it than you can, when you're in the store. The rain cover is awesome quality; quite sturdy and rubber coated on the inside, so it doesn't leak. Only problem is that it doesn't really fold down too flat and it stores in the zipped mesh pocket inside the top of this bag, which robs capacity. If you live in a dry climate, just take that rain cover out, and you'll be able to use more capacity. Otherwise, keep it handy, as the carbon-fiber-look panels on the top just soak up the rain immediately.Another thing that robs a bit of capacity is the fact that when you strap it down tightly to your seat, the bottom caves in a bit. The looser you strap it down, the more capacity you have. I'll keep this in mind. If I ever need just a smidge more room, I'll pop the passenger seat off with the key, then loosen the straps a bit, knowing the fact that the bag is stuffed will tighten it up again. The gray-ish piping around the top near the zippers is retro-reflective, and so is the lighter-colored material on the carry handle. The bag includes conventional tie-down straps, in case the seat-strap mounting isn't working on your bike. The zipper action is smooth, but you need to be pulling up slightly while zipping or unzipping or it kind of drags around the corners.Attached is a pic of it on my bike, just in front of the Givi rack. It looks even sharper without the luggage rack fitted. In case you're wondering, I don't think you'd get away with the larger size, if you have a sportbike; it would really be spilling over. This one is the right size for the small passenger seat on sportbikes, just as Nelson-Rigg advertises.Last reason I bought this is that it has a better warranty than Cortech. Lifetime no-hassle vs. 3 year or something. Would've been nice to have matching styles, but I went with the perfect application for each end of the bike. I didn't like the frumpy look of Nelson-Rigg's tank bags. They need to refresh their tankbag designs, but this tail bag is perfect.

2011 Ninja 1000 (Don't get the touring)
So far it's great.I have a '11 Ninja 1000/Z1000SX. It's a big ole bike, so originally I ordered the touring bag. That was a mistake. Holy Man is that bag huge. I wish it would fit properly but there's just no way it would on this bike. The mid size bag is a perfect fit. It attached easily and so far seems secure enough. I'm a big boy and it's kind of a pain to lift my leg over but that's mostly my fault.Quality seems exceptional. The zipper has a nice action to it and the bag material is thick and heavy.I, like everyone else, wish there was a more permanent mounting solution, but realistically if someone wants to steal the thing, even if they can't get to the clips they can just cut the strap off.I'm also just not a huge fan of the pull to tighten design. It's tight enough, it isn't going to fall off, but I can't possibly get it 100% tight. It always slides back and forth. Not a big deal, but I do find myself pushing it back up as I'm riding.Storage is decent, but admittedly not as much as I wanted. I daily ride my bike 3 out of 4 seasons. Ideally I'd like to be able to do some minor shopping trips, which you CAN with this bag, but it fills pretty quickly. In my one photo, there is a small box of garlic bread and a half gallon of milk. There's room for more, but I would have liked to grab another gallon of normal milk too, and wasn't confident it would fit. Might have been able to squeeze everything in, but I didn't risk it. My duffle bag back pack that I used to wear (this is the hopeful replacement) would have easily fit everything.Design is nice. I like the way it looks. It definitely doesn't look "made for the bike" like some people say for some reason, but it certainly looks like a nice accessory.Overall, so far, I'm very happy with it. I think it's maaaaaaaybe a little expensive for what it is, but also I have Nelson Rigg's rain suit and it has been great, so I'm done paying a bit more for quality.

Extremely pleased with this luggage investment in my bike!
This is an excellent tail pack and the size fits the passenger seat of my Ducati Multistrada perfectly. And the carbon fiber look of the lid material matches the Sargent saddle as well as the carbon fiber bits in the muffler and rear fender. The expansion panel will make it the perfect piece of unobtrusive luggage for two and even three day trips (if I pack fairly light). It is attractive and functional. I am very pleased with this investment and addition to my beloved Ducati!

Great looking and high quality gear from Nelson Rigg as usual
Awesome bag. I have the 'sport' size (mid-size) and it's perfect for 90% of my day to day. When I run out of room, I just unzip the expander and have not been able to find room. It's well made and sturdy and the zippers are reliable and work well. I keep a rain jacket in the upper pocket for piece of mind. Really a great bag and fits my BMW 1250 GS perfectly - also accenting the back of the bike.

Great product if you need to carry heavy equipment on your bike
Love it, perfect for a my r6, love that it can extend and store more stuff. I got tired of carrying my drone , camera and other stuff in my backpack as it tires your back and shoulders. This Fits perfect and the quality seems great. Hopefully it lasts a long time!
