A true taste of Bulgaria!
Excellent cheese! My first container arrived broken. I contacted the seller who quickly replaced the product. This cheese is soft, flavorful, excellent on salads, in banitza or just to eat alone. Will definitely reorder from this seller.

real feta. period
I'm Bulgarian and I know feta. It is FULL of flavor, and beats ANYTHING in the stores! What people sell here at the markets as "feta" is what we in Bulgaria give to the pigs or use as a cheaper and tasteless substitute. This is the best type of feta to buy, because it is Bulgarian and because it is very well packaged. I bought another BG one and it was packaged in a bucket with a plastic strap as an indication that it is not opened )kind of like ice cream packaging), but it leaked and I had to get a replacement.Bulgarian dairy products are unique because they contain bactericusbulgaricus, which lives ONLY within the borders of Bulgaria. It is our heritage! We have the first ranking yoghurt in the world for that reason. Forget "Greek" yoghurt. BTW you cannot find real BG yoghurt except in some health food stores. They make something super simmular in TX somewhere. I know Greek merchants buy Bulgarian feta and re-package it as Greek. Basically this is where it's at!Also sheep's milk makes the best feta and kashkaval cheese, and the strongest yoghurt too. Very nourishing! If it's too salty that's because it's packaged this way to preserve it. It is supposed to be very salty when you buy it. Bulgarians usually buy it without the water, but it is still salty. To get rid of the salt, you have to put it (only the feta) in a bowl of cold water and put it in the fridge. One day makes a big difference. If it still tastes too salty, change the water and put it in the fridge again. This will make it softer too, so be careful to catch it at it's prime.I recommend eating it on savory bread on top of natural butter, and tomato on top. You can also top a salad with it and have red wine vinegar and olive oil. You can add black olives on top as well. here you go a recipe: Bulgarian Tomato Salad (Shopska Salata) Recipe. Plug that into google. Another thing you can use it for is Bulgarian Banica. It takes longer, but...…….. you will want to eat this every day!!! These products are the reason of the Bulgarian longevity, so I highly recommend.

Bad Product, bad Service
They still show feta in tin can, Bulgarian Feta cheese in brine, but they send product in plastic container. They send it slow mail, by the time it reaches destination, it's gone spoiled, bad. Very slow delivery is used. When asked about the tin can vs plastic can, they say regulations require to use plastic container, but the product is advertised in tin can.

Bulgarian sheep's Feta is the best
Bulgarian sheep's Feta is among the best Feta cheeses anywhere. Delicious as an appetizer on crackers or toast. Almost too good to be used in salads.

Spoiled
The item was not consumable; the ice pack was melted and it smelled and appeared to have gone bad. Needs better ice pack.
