I planted the onion sets in mid-March here in Pennsylvania. They are about a foot tall now on May 4th

It's gotten harder to find onion plants (not sets -- the little bulblets) and the last two years my plants from a trusted grower arrived diseased, so I decided to grow my own onion plants. Variety Candy is an excellent one for my Mid-Atlantic garden but difficult to find seeds. I'd purchased several packets of various onion varieties from other vendors and had poor germination and found the packets contained far fewer seeds than advertised. Parks seeds had the specified quantity, germinated very quickly (after I soaked them in water for a couple of hours before planting in a flat), had an excellent germination percentage and are growing more vigorously than the other seeds. I will look for this vendor, these seeds next year!

Even though photo shows onion sets, beware they are actually seeds!

I bought these to grow in my moofga hydroponic system. I started them November 2nd. They are currently 11 inches tall. May have to help hold them up with ties or twisties.

The picture was misleading these are not bulbs they are seeds. They arrived on time.

They do great in my 37 degree intermediate zone 6.They grow to a large size and are sweet.Germination is about 95% for me.I stored them about 6 mo. I used them all and did not have any spoilage. Starting from seed is much cheaper than sets and perform much better
