Dismayed by the long absence of my favorite face-brightening lipstick, Revlon's Softsilver Rose, I bought this creamy and longlasting Softsilver Red. It is so close to the original I hardly can tell the difference! Still bright, dashed with gleam and a perfect accent to many complexions and outfits!It's my absolute new favorite. I will put it on subscription.*P.S. I love its stay-together metal and plastic two-part metal casing with the sturdy lipstick holder that--unlike plastic cases that crack and come apart to mess up my makeup bag--remains "locked" until needed.

Beautiful color. Consistent with the revlon quality as expected.

If you are buying the Midnight Mystery it is important to note the dark blue undertones of it shine through. I ordered it as it showed up when searching for black lipstick and the images online looked dark black. It is a pretty tone but is very much a deep dark blue lipstick and not pure black. I like it overall but if your goal is a black color I would choose a different lipstick.
