It IS celery seed
The media could not be loaded. Amazing amount of product for the price!Another video review claimed it was not celery seed but called it "celery sand" and shows another item which she was expecting... the other item she shows is DILL seed. This is absolutely 100% celery seed you can smell it as soon as opening and is fresh!

Excellent value, good quality
So this package arrived fully sealed with an excellent use-by date. This replaced a finished bag of celery seeds that originated from a co-op that I purchased on amazon. It has to be said, that these were not quite as flavorful and perhaps slightly more bitter, but given the price difference it's excusable. I would get these again. I mix up some natural peanut butter, with nonfat yogurt and add a tablespoon of these and mix it in. It's a great way to get the health benefits of the seeds and enjoy them in a way that actually taste fantastic.

Great price!
Exactly what I wanted! Celery Seed is hard to come by at my local stores recently. If I can find it, I can only find a small bottle which is about the same price as this large one.

Not quite an emergency
I cook with celery a LOT. Soups, stews, veggie mixes, tuna salad, you name it. But lately, good, fresh celery is getting hard to find in stores. And when I CAN find it, it's often pithy, so much of it is wasted. And then I remembered celery seed. My dear, departed mother used to make slaw with it, just shredded green cabbage, celery seed, and mayonnaise. It was right tasty.I'm quickly discovering new ways to use celery seed. Recently, I poured a bunch of it in a pint mason jar, covered it with olive oil, and stuck in in the fridge. After a week or so, I used it in chicken salad, replacing about a third of the mayonnaise with the "celery oil," seeds and all. It worked great! The seeds softened in the oil, and flavor of celery came shining through. My next experiment is going to be soaking the seeds in sesame oil to use in stir fry.You can also grind it if you want the powdered kind. I'm thinking you could make your own celery salt, only with a lot more flavor and a lot less salt.I ordered two of the 16 oz. jars, and I'm thinking that, what with the rising oceans and all, it's enough to last until my Blue Ridge Mountain hobby farm becomes beachfront property.

Best value for your money.
With the one/two ounce containers at the grocery stores costing $5 to $7, this is a wonderful way to buy the spices I use the most. And the spices I bought, even WM doesn't even carry in the smaller containers.
