Don't forget to turn it off or the batteries drain in one day
It's plastic, not metal and the doors do open but it's kind of wonky. I bought it as a gag gift for my son's 16th birthday. He doesn't care for it but I love driving it around the house and my 2yr old lives using it for her dolls. Fyi, if you wanted to do that too.. it only fits like really little dolls not even the mini barbies.. but like super small action figures. The lights light up when you're actually driving and the the remote is really simple and straightforward for easy handling.. forward, backwards, right and left and they can be combined to make turns.

Perfect replica of 2006 Ford GT.
This model car is so fun! Runs great with lights and all. A real nice surprise for the price!

Definitely don't regret my purchase
Shipping was fast. The car came in the frequency I ordered. Interior detail is nice and the exterior detail is good. Additionally, the signal with this car is very good. The one thing I did notice is the stripes on the roof are slightly off. It doesn't bother me much though. I've ordered a few rastar cars and this one is my favorite.It takes 5 AA for the car and 2 AA for the controller.

Absolutely do not buy this car.
I have never left a review for an Amazon product before, but this product warrants a response.I received 2 of these for my 7 year olds Santa gift. The first one would go forward and reverse only. After waiting a week for the replacement one to be erroneously delivered to my neighbors porch, the second one would also only go in forward and reverse. I find it hard to believe I got the only 2 bad ones made... The lights, motor, and the controller all otherwise work as they should.Also the doors are extremely hard to open, so a small child with childlike patience would have it broken in no time flat.You have lots of choices for cheap R/C cars on Amazon, pick any of them. Just not this one. Seriously, pick any of the other options.

This car is fast and was perfect for my 7 year old. Works great and the doors even open!
