Easy to use. Works well
I waited a bit to write a review so I had a chance to put it through its paces. This thing works well. I’m using it on a pedal board with a Boss TU-3 tuner in front of it and both a Boss RV-6 Reverb and Boss RC-3 looper in the effects loop. This is my first acoustic preamp so I don’t have anything to judge by. Plugging a Seagull S6 with a Baggs Anthem into it. I’m powering the board with a Joyo 4400ma pedal board battery pack I also got here on Amazon. The whole thing is really quiet. I’m using it to play in a worship band. For playing at service, I can tell it was worth getting because every time I try and plug something else into the mix, I keep going back to just this preamp with the tuner. Maybe the Boss reverb if I want to get fancy but the included one works ok. All in all, a happy customer.

GREAT ALL IN ONE SOLUTION FOR SOLIDBODY PIEZO BRIDGE GUITAR
I was looking for a preamp that could give my PRS P22 PIEZO Bridge guitar a richer acoustic sound .This does the trick. You'll never get a solidbody piezo bridge to sound completely authentic but this pedal got me in the ballpark. The chorus and reverb are a nice added bonus .Has a looper too but I'm not really a looper user .On a side note I purchased the NUX OPTIMA AIR PEDAL which has the exact same preamp section as this pedal with an added IR section which I didn't care for . If you want an all in one acoustic preamp with reverb and chorus the stageman is a good choice.

Works great, but could use a few more (and less) features.
I went through a few different acoustic guitar preamp/DI's, including the venerable LR Baggs Para Acoustic D.I., the Fishman ToneDEQ, and the Fishman Platinum Pro EQ DI, but none of them gave me the rich acoustic guitar sound I was after. Then a guitarist friend recommended the Nux Stageman. I had never heard of Nux, and so was dubious, but gave it a shot.To my surprise, the Nux gave me what the Baggs and Fishman DI's couldn't. I was able to very quickly dial in a terrific acoustic guitar sound. I found the controls on the Nux to be very intuitive and easy to work with. The inclusion of reverb and chorus are fantastic. The headphone output and aux input might be handy for someone, though I don't anticipate a need to listen through headphones given that I'll be using the Nux for acoustic guitar. I was also impressed by the tough metal enclosure that should withstand the rigors of live performance (I had been surprised and disappointed that both the Fishman preamps I tried were made of plastic). What the Nux includes that I have no need of is a looper. If I wanted to use a looper I would employ a seperate pedal. What Nux should have included instead of a looper is compression and a mute button.

Great for nylon string w/piezo as well
I got this unit to aide me in classical guitar gigs. While the preamp on my guitar helps when going into a PA or FOH system, the tone can be stale. This durably built pedal is the solution. It sounds great, and the reverb and chorus help me add character to the various types of pieces. The chorus in particular, I find is useful for Renaissance pieces, as it resembles some of those multi course older instruments. The reverb isn’t anything special, but that’s why I like it. It’s just there to round out the acoustic impression.

Great value!
If you have piezos, you need something to handle the high impedance and round out the harsh tone quality. This makes my mandolin sound great for a fraction of the cost you'd pay for an LR Baggs. It also has a loop feature, which has come in handy. No regrets here!

A great preamp/DI solution for acoustic (and electric) guitar players.
I was originally looking for a phantom powered DI for my recently purchased Fender Acoustasonic. Then I saw this, took the plunge, and haven't looked back. Great EQ control plus a notch filter, onboard reverb and chorus and even an external effects loop. I actually ended up using them all and the sound quality is exquisite. Everyone, musicians and non-musicians alike, comments on it. The controls and layout are well thought out, making it incredibly easy to use. Can't comment on the looper, since I haven't used it.UPDATE 1: Still haven't used the looper (and probably never will), but just purchased another one for my large pedalboard. This way I don't need two pedal boards when I bring my electric guitar rig. First one's still going strong!UPDATE 2: I can now say that the preamp works with electric guitars as well. I've had my Fender Ultra Luxe Stratocaster for several years and I adore it, but the quirky, gritty Jeff Beck tone I've been searching for has always eluded me. I've tried different pickups, amps effects, etc., to no avail. On a lark I tried the Stageman EQ and after 30 minutes of tinkering - BINGO! For the record: SCOOP off, GAIN at 10:00, BASS at 9:00, MID at 2:00, TREBLE at 9:00 (your results may vary).

Sounds good but kind of noisy.
Has a really good sound but is a little noisy on recordings.

Nice acoustic support pedal.
I have a Godin A6 ultra which is nice but it has a tendency to sound a bit thin (no pun intended). I had hoped this would round out the sound a bit but I hasn't done enough for me. This is not to say the pedal doesn't work. I really enjoy it on my fender acoustic. It definitely softens the piezo sharpness.
