The TRRS to TRS adapter worked like a charm, all the way from the tip down to the base aka the shank.If anyone else is looking for a adapter for a GoPro hero 9 medium mod, this is the plug-in play that you need because of the design of the purple panda lavalier mic. If this is what you are utilizing. I have purchased two different adapters 3.5 mm in the past week and a half, not even best buy off mansell Road in Alpharetta. Georgia was able to help me aka I was told the display model cannot be sold, who the hell puts a display of a headphone jack adapter.This review is in support of what someone else had stated in reviews prior to mine, I followed their instruction because I was looking for the exact same thing which is for a lavalier mic in my case for Moto Vlogging.

I bought this adapter to connect a Røde SmartLav+, which is designed for smartphones and PCs with TRRS inputs (or, I guess these days, a USB C/Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter), to a Tascam DR-07X recorder which has a TRS stereo mic/aux input. At first I thought the adapter wasn't the right one for the job or mine was defective... however, there are one or two settings on the recorder you need to adjust before it will work:1. (More critical) Enable MIC POWER in the REC SETTING menu. Without power, all you'll get is dead input from an unpowered microphone like the SmartLav+.2. (Less critical) Record in MONO instead of STEREO, since both channels will be identical anyway. This won't affect how much you can record to MP3, but it will affect WAV recording space.Now that I am using the right settings, the product itself seems to be perfectly good; hopefully this review helps others who are having similar problems using this adapter with the Tascam DR-05X and DR-07X along with audio recorders with a mic/line in jack.

I was unable to connect my Rode lavalier mic to my GoPro mic jack without this adaptor. Checked on Amazon and found that Movo had the exact part I needed at a reasonable price. It arrived quickly and the quality of the item is excellent! Thankfully, my lavalier mic compatibility issue is now solved. Thank you Amazon and Movo!

If u have the mic already and you don't want to buy purple Panda for this Little cable.... this is what you need
