WirquinMWS00 Double Push Button Water-Saving Flush Mechanism
N**E
My Toilet is now Wirquin again...
The push button cable seized on our RAK ceramics WC the other day and just refused to flush. It's been installed for 15 years so maybe time for a complete new valve. Or so we thought.Thankfully , after a brief search on good old Amazon we found the exact same valve model was still available and with Prime delivery too.It arrived after 2 days and after a brief look at the installation guide (included) it became clear that the existing central Valve / Lift / Flap and trigger mechanism could simply be twisted off the existing basket cage already attached to the cistern. The new one would just drop straight in and a slight quick twist to secure it , job done.Really easy. The whole job took less than 10 minutes.Just great..

NOT as shown in the photograph.
I purchased this to replace a dual flush one that was passing water after flushing and had keep pushing it back down. The delivery was prompt but it is NOT the item shown in the photograph. From the photograph and description that it comes with a Double Push Button, I assumed that it should be a dual flush.Sadly it is not, it is a single flush mechanism with a double flush push button!!!In the description it says it does not come with a float so I assumed I could re fit the existing float but it does not fit to this unit which is very miss leading.I have had to fit this unit as the old one broke when I was removing it so I am unable to return it for a proper replacement. Please see attached photos of the existing mechanism, with float, and the one that arrived, without float) 2 totally different fittings and nothing like the photo in the listing. Not happy.

Poor
I bought this as a direct replacement as water was leaking into the bowl. The new unit did the same. Just replaced this with a Fluidmaster pro550 and it's solid as a rock. I was still curious as to why the Wirquin leaked and it appears as though the thread on the docking unit is not circular and a dodgy seal didn't close the gap. Maybe I just had some bad luck but it seems a poor design.

Direct replacement for old version without hassle
A direct replacement/upgrade for my old flush valve in the photo which gets stuck in flush position with valve open and water just kept on flushing whatever you do with the buttons.Took the old valve out with a clockwise twist, plug and twist this new one in, voila, job done in 10 seconds, did not need to change the bottom fittings at all.Old flush button also clicks perfectly on to the new cable. This new version has a 30cm flush cable compared to the old version which was about 25cm, making life so much easier for a concealed unit.

Cistern flush
This is a replacement spare for an existing flush of the same type.Original lasted for eight years with just a replacement seal washer.Great piece of kit which separates from its seat with a anti clockwise twist.(like a bayonet light bulb) without removing cistern.
