Very sturdy stainless steel, hooded vent with screen to keep creatures out. Much nicer than the thin sheet metal vents other vendors provide.

I had a plastic vent cover that always hit with my weedeater and it used to break and now I don’t have to replace this because it’s looks pretty and it is metal. It wouldn’t break easily. I recommend it.

This was easy to install: Drill a 4" hole using a hole saw, place the vent outlet in the hole and connect the hose.I did have to expand the mounting tabs a bit to make it work with my exterior siding. I also drilled 2 small holes below the vent to be able to secure the vent to the wall. I also caulked around the vent to prevent moisture intrusion.I did mark this down a bit due to some of the sharp edges.

I used it as a dryer vent. Arrived nicely package and looks great on the house.Just have to remove the old white caulking around it from the old vent. Then it will look like the champ.Might not want to permanently attach it because the screen inside is pretty fine which I like. But if you use lots of softeners when it come to drying and you have lots of lint. I wouldn’t use screw so you can pop it out and clean it if need be.Very nice vent.

Disappointed doe a few reasons. I was sent something different than what is pictured. There is a lip on the bottom that will catch the rain water rather than letting it slide off like the picture. The lip in the bottom edge is sharp as well. The item I was sent is also already rusting in several spots.

I used this as the outlet for two bathroom fans I installed. This is an excellent product. It is very well made, and sturdy. It installed in the 4 inch hole I drilled perfectly and fit the 4 inch flexible duct as well. It came without instructions, so note that the three prongs are what holds it in place. I slid a galvanized adapter over these, so did not do that properly, but I have the weird 1970,s gypsum Board external underlay,EMT, so this would have cracked that in any case.This looks way better than those plastic versions and will LAST.Note it does not have a flap to seal against drafts, but my bathroom fan has that as part of the assembly. It does have an insect screen.If I ever need to add or replace a duct outlet, it will be with one of these.

The unit is a heavy gage Stainless, with a heavy gage vertical bug screen within, but not at the very bottom of the 'bell' housing, but inline with the outer most part of your exterior wall. There is no damper on these, so its excellent for intake use, you might reconsider it for a dryer as an example.I used mine for a roll around AC unit. I don't have double hung windows, so my two tubes (intake and output) went through my exterior wall.The look outside my building is pretty nice, clean and modern. They also have a small lip on the bottom inside edge. nice to hold back some water that might blow in, it does lesson the inner size by maybe 5% or a bit more.
