Management and Organization Theory: A Jossey-Bass Reader

I wish I had this book when I started my doctoral program! The author has done a great job compiling different theories as well as the major constructs and references. He doesn't go into too much detail about any given theory, but gives just enough information to get the general idea and then points you in the right direction to get more information if you want it. Very handy to have around my office.

For a book on Theory, not bad.. It's an easy read and touches many different theories. It's a Good overall look.

I'm studying towards my doctorate and this was one of the best preparation books I read on management theories. It essentially gives you a quick flavour of a number of key theories, so you can select and focus on those of interest. A unique book and I'd highly recommend.
