45" NHL Elite Rod Hockey Game - Rangers vs Red Wings

We just remodeled our basement and wanted some new games for the family. We are hockey fans, so decided on this as opposed to foosball. It took a while to put together - there were lots of parts - but it seems pretty sturdy and it's lots of fun to play. I only wish that I could choose NHL team colors for the game players. I highly recommend this for any game room.

Ok here’s my thoughtsIf doing solo it is going to take you at least 4 hours.Directions are off in a couple places and pieces are not numbered so even if you are great at following instructs you will be taking apart and putting back together.The ice surface only has one main support piece thus where there is no support in front of goalies surface is bendy and affects play as often stick cannot make contact with puck.You’re prob better off with smaller 40”The goal reader is inconsistent.The scoreboard plug- in wire ends have little room for error. Good chance you’ll be re-setting tiny pins within plug in base.

We bought the 40" for our kids last year, but our son wanted to take it to his apartment when he left for college. So we moved up to the 45" size for the house with 2 teenagers still at home. My husband loves that this is the one game we own that he can still beat them at. It was our 2nd time putting one together so it only took about an hour. We actually liked the center score unit on the 40" better, but the 45" unit is a bit sturdier, a couple inches taller, has a bit more playing surface and a larger goal chute. The rods, gears, goals and men are basically the same so the game play is very similar between the 40" and 45" units.

We previously had an ESPN hockey table which lasted over 12 years of play. The parts were not available to repair that table, so we bought this as a replacement. The assembly required some “fixes” as the floor of the ice didn’t fully seat in the slots as per the instructions. No problem that a drill & two turnbuckles didn’t fix. I’m not happy with plastic bars to move the players, and believe a couple of years max before one, or more of these will need replacement. There are also the occasions where the players sticks go over the puck & require re-adjustment. Overall a fun game, but I’ll be buying the $1200 table next time!

I couldn't be happier with the table. For the money you just simply can't beat it. The gameplay is mostly smooth. An the table very well put together. Make sure to get someone who knows what there doing to assemble this table. I was actually surprised that Amazon didn't offer an assembly service with this. But no problem. I went on thumbtack an hired a handy man to assemble it for me. What a great looking table!

This will take some time ( set aside 2 hours) to put together. The rods that move the players and not very sturdy. They flex and this cause the players to go slightly up and down and affects their ability to hit the puck. I do not know how long they will last especially with kids playing this. The electronic scoring system does not recognize each goal that is scored. I am disappointed with this as it was a Christmas gift for my children. I know it is not supposed to be high end but when you play around $300 you should expect it to still be a quality and durable product that will bring years of family fun.

The table is not very sturdy and the parts likely will break quickly.

This is an early Christmas gift for the kids. We will share it with them over thanksgiving for more to do during the colder months.
