Thats some real quality right there
Was kinda hesitant about getting this at first, but when it arrived and I pulled it out, I no longer had any doubts. She THICC boy! And the quality on the stitching ain't anything to sneeze at. This will work well for home base camping. I wouldn't take this hiking or anything like that, this thing is a whole unit. It's heavy, plain and simple. I didn't notice any smells when opening it for the first time. I read some reviews about it being smaller than advertised but thats what happens when you treat certain materials. Thankfully my tarp (12x12) didnt lose near as much as some people have reported. Final measurements was 11' 9" x 11' 9" and like 1/8th. I splashed some water on the tarp and it beaded up nicely, but ill need to test it in the rain to see how it does. All in all you are getting what you paid for. Solid investment for around the house, camping or long term storage use.

A REAL canvas tarp!
For decades I had used a canvas tarp as a ground cloth for my tent. The thick material was not only easy on the floor, but easy on your toes. The waterproofing back then was excellent, so the tent stayed dry. Hurricane rains, plain Nor’Easter, just any old rain or storm, it didn’t matter, the canvas then was super tough. For backpacking I swapped to those blue tarps. Walk and the floor went krunch. Noisy. Those blue-ees were thin too. They punctured easily.I had a large tent coming and I needed a groundcloth for it. 10’x14’. These guys had just what I was looking for. These tarps are NOT made to meet a price point. These tarps ARE made to exceed anyone’s expectations of quality for a canvas tarp, The one I now have is thick, well made, reinforced right where it should be. It reminds me of the heavy tarp my grandfather kept over his 1960’s Ford Falcon in the garage. Strong, thick yet as pliable as a heavy bed blanket. Excellent quality stuff…made in the USA. Keep Americans employed! I’m pretty sure no matter the price of your tarp or size of it, you’ll be well pleased with what the UPS or FedEx driver brought you from this company. Shop quality and value.

Super thick and heavy duty tarp
This is the best canvas tarp money can buy...and probably the best tarp of any kind that money can buy...it us very thick and very heavy...I got the 12x12 to make a covered area entry way into my 16 foot canvas tent...everything about this tarp is high quality...I'll be putting it through an insurance test starting in March...camping for 2 solid months in Southern Utah....I expect this tarp to have zero issues...that's how well made I believe this tarp to be...if it does, I'll update my review...but don't hold your breath...this thing reeks of perfection...expensive yes, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case

I love this canvas tarp.
Exactly what I wanted. Seems very well made and the day I got it, I put it over the side-by-side and it has been dry ever since.

Will serve to be dependable for years!
Overall a very heavy duty canvas tarp. The eyelets and webbing loops at each eyelet are awesome and the stitching seems like high quality. I use mine as a cover for my little 4x8 utility trailer so it overlaps a bit on the sides and I was able to get it tight with rope ratchets. They are rated at 200 lbs and all the webbing loops and eyelets stayed intact. ONLY negative and why I gave it 4/5 is because the seam that runs up the tarp isn’t in the middle more like 1/3 but that’s really just aesthetics and 4/5 is just bc of my pet peeve for symmetry. It rained hard one night and a puddle of water formed on top but everything stayed perfectly dry Underneath. The people complaining about “bad smell” are just being petty bc it’s only noticeable if you put your face close to it and that smell is what gives the canvas it’s waterproofing. I wanted to buy another one, but they were all sold out in that size last time I looked. Also the reflective tape on the corners is a bonus feature I wasn’t expecting. Great job on this one! Try to sew in the middle though please!

The only tarp you'll ever need
I think we all have bought tarps at some point and been frustrated by the waste. Walmart specials that tear after a single use. Or stinky tarps that make you gag just putting it up and then scream cuz it shredded after a single storm. This tarp restores your faith in quality products existing. Yes it's heavy, 40 pounds for the 12*20, but that means it laughs at storms. It does not skunk you out putting it up cuz whatever magic they put on this has no smell. And it is magic coating cuz I put it up in a monsoon that refused to quit for over a week and the damn tarp just kept rolling the water away. Seriously this tarp never got drenched and weighted down by the torrent of freezing rain! That pic is after 14 days of non stop rain. It just beads up and rolls away!I used this as a bakers tent and had a tiny fire inside that kept smoking. Did the tarp retain the smoke smell? Nope! It even repelled cooking smells!Yes it's heavy and requires upper body strength to hoist this into a bakers tent but it's so worth the workout and the cost isn't too bad for the quality. I'm actually getting 2 more tarps cuz these are excellent for outdoor kitchen/living spaces. Stop searching cuz you found the best with this tarp!

The very Best for heavy duty!
This is the best tarp I've ever had. It is thick, strong, weatherproof, a million times better than the heaviest poly tarp. And it has the grommets and tie-straps distributed evenly and symmetrically around the edges - that is, the grommets on one side are straight across from those on the opposite side. This is the first tarp I've ever had that has the grommets positioned properly like that! Duh! Makes tie downs neat and easy. I hope this lasts forever, but I bet it will last at least five or ten years, instead of less than one for the poor tarps of the past. My barn cat likes to snooze on it too.
