It's cheaper than other models and it fits my elongated toilet.
It took my husband just minutes to install. It's white and fits my elongated, white toilet. It looks nice and seems sturdy. It feels like a basic, traditional toilet seat: not uncomfortable and not extra comfortable.I ordered it at 10pm and got it by 1pm the next day.(It was brand new, sometimes people complain about getting used ones.)FYI: It will clank when you open it and close VERY FAST when you lower it.UPDATE: I've used it for 6 months with NO problems.I chose it because:- Amazon could deliver it in a day (our toilet seat broke last night and I wasn't sure if I could get to the store). I'm east of Seattle, so I'm near the distribution center, which makes fast turnarounds/deliveries easier.- It had good reviews (people said it was solid and easy to install).- It was INEXPENSIVE: $19, plus tax. It was too cheap to qualify for FREE, next-day shipping, so to get it this the next day, I needed to either pay $2.99 for shipping OR add more to my order to make the $25 minimum. (I bought a little bit more).Comments:1) I would have been willing to pay a LOT more for a fancier toilet seat that has a slow-closing lid, is extra comfortable, has a finish that can take ANY cleaner--AND IS DURABLE enough to last >5 years, but I couldn't find one.2) Reviews of other toilet seats indicate that the toilet seats made today don't last. The seat might crack within a few months. The hinges break (especially on slow-closing ones). I bought this seat to replace a slow-closing one whose hinge broke in less than a year. I would have expected a toilet seat to last 10 years (or more), but I think these slow-close hinges get brittle. I'm hoping this new seat lasts several years--but I decided to get a CHEAP, but sturdy seat, so I that I'm not out a lot of money if it doesn't last.3) Nowadays most hinges are designed to be "removable for easy cleaning." However, in reviews of some other removable seats a few people complained that the toilet seat slid off the hinge while the user was sitting on it. Although this model has that removable feature, I'm hoping that if I don't take it off, perhaps it might make it less likely to pop off unexpectedly. (I've used it for 6 months and the hinge hasn't caused problems--but I've never removed it. I just clean around it.)4) Painted toilet seats used to be easy to clean, but the last several I've gotten (both Kohler and Bemis) CANNOT handle a strong cleaner. Even using Formula 409 just ONCE can harm the finish (this didn't used to happen 20 years ago). For this one, I've used a mild soap to clean it (so far okay). To disinfect, I've sometimes sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide (which kills salmonella, e.coli and SARS-CoV-2--and is a gentle disinfectant) or I've used Citrus II (a very good disinfectant that is effective against norovirus, etc). I usually wipe it off after a few minutes, so far, the peroxide or Citrus II doesn't seem to harm the finish, but I don't use them often. However, I think that urine can also harm the finish if it isn't cleaned off soon.5) I thought of getting a plastic seat (instead of a heavy wooden one) as it might be easier to disinfect and more stain resistant, but the reviews on those were mixed. Some of those plastic seats were flimsy. In another model (an expensive one), users complained that after a few months that plastic toilet seat started to have a strong chemical smell.Just an fyi, I was reading an article that mentioned that toilet seats are shaped to encourage people to "do their business." Sitting on them for a long time when you don't need to have a bowel movement can be counterproductive and bad for your regularity. So, if you do have an extra comfortable seat, just be aware that you shouldn't hang out on it. If you're reading a novel, perhaps you should sit on the couch instead.

Sturdy, wooden seats, low price but no compromise in quality. Great value for money.
Sturdy, wooden seats, inexpensive but feel like high quality. Very comfortable, very easy to install. Easy to remove, clean the area where it is attached and put beck (after installation, one twist on each side to loosen and it comes off, clean, put back in place and twist back - very easy).Great value for money

Perfect!
We needed a comfortable, budget friendly seat. That's it. No frills, no waiting for 10 min for the lid to close. Wood is far more comfortable, frankly. We end up replacing the seat in our main bathroom almost once a year, not because we use heavy chemicals on it or otherwise abuse them, but the enamel never wants to survive long. It always stains in really, erm, questionable places. Like...how? But I digress. Maybe its because our German Shepherds insist that the toilet water is the finest nectar available to drink, despite having a large watering station that provides fresh clean water available 24/7. Maybe because often the seat is down so the divine water of the toilet is often not easily available to the pooches, making it a fun game to try and get to it, thus damaging the seat with their antics. Who knows.Regardless, in one year and every brand of toilet seat we have tried starts to look funky. Some have cheap plastic bumpers that break or crumble, or the hinges erode (that's always fun to clean), or the bolts loosen and it becomes a little wobbling seat. How fun. If nothing more catastrophic happens, then inevitably the enamel starts wearing. I tried painting one to fix that once - won't try that again. So, I am coming to accept that toilet seats are simply an annual purchase, like it or not. This is the 2nd Bemis we have gotten however. We also got the plastic model (by accident) but its not too bad. Will be fine for our lower traffic bathroom. This wood seat is comfortably shaped, fit perfectly, and was very convenient to switch out. Ingenious even. I love the easy clean feature - all toilet seats should come with that automatically. If someone in your family is a lid dropper, then this one will be loud, but otherwise, one can close it gently and avoid the noise. It closes straight, the hinges are snug, no wobble when you sit.So, for the price, its perfect. Far better than expected. As to its durability, that remains to be seen, but if it survives for over a year, then that's a win as far as this household is concerned.

Nice, but broke already
Simple install. Fits great. Operates smoothly.Bought this one since it was wood and made in the USA.Pretty sure it's some kind of pressed wood. I say this because less than 4 months and it has broken in a line across the side of the seat. This was with normal use and no heavy weight.

Bemis easy-clean toilet seat is affordable, quality, easy to install, and clean. Get it!!
The media could not be loaded. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this Bemis easy-clean wooden toilet based off of the other reviews. I’m familiar with the brand of this toilet so I wanted to give it a try. It was affordable and I brought it during prime week. I do not regret it. It’s a quality product. I love it. It’s very easy to clean and very simple to install. I only needed a flathead screwdriver. You can even open the little notches on the top of the toilet to remove the entire seat. This comes in handy when you want to give your toilet a deep clean. I highly recommend this product. Design:Visually appealing, modern, parts to rusts over timeFunctionality:Easy to install, easy to clean
