My husband needs it to thicken juices while he recovers from neck/throat radiation. It dissolves well and doesn't change the taste of the juice. Would like to buy a smaller amount of this highly rated item as he only needs it for a short time.

My husband says it makes stuff not taste as good - he has dysphagia/Parkinsons and opted for a special cup instead. It's overpriced cornstarch - and you have to use a lot for something like juice. I will use it in gravy or smoothies as to not waste it, I guess. I cannot detect its taste in a smoothie.

I bought this after my mother had a stroke. She needed her liquids thickened because her swallowing was compromised. This works quickly in hot or cold liquid and does not change the flavor at all. After mom passed away I discovered that this product is excellent for thickening gravies and sauces. I even used it in chicken soup to thicken it to the consistency of gravy turning my soup into pot pie filling. Very handy to have on hand
