I have always been a firm believer that wood grips are the best grips for what I want on a gun. These grips a bit pricy but really enhance the looks and grip performance on my 1911 replacing the standard rubber grips. These grips really make the gun pop and have a great feel in my hand since I have small hands. There are plenty of G10 composite grips out on the market that have a great appearance but may be a little bit aggressive and have a tendency to be a little unforgiving on the hands when shooting. I highly recommend these grips as an upgrade in performance and appearance to your 1911.

I ordered the rosewood grips for my 1911. The machining and finish are perfect. High quality, American made craftsmanship, and I would order them again if I had another 1911. Note that most OEM 1911 wood grips are thinner. This product is thicker, closer to the palm swell style available on G10 grips, which provides a better grip for me over the thinner grips that came with my 1911.

These are the functioning and best looking 1911 grips on the market, period! Not only did they improve my control and accuracy, but they make my 1911 look absolutely awesome.

Ordered these in Walnut color. Goes nicely with my SR1911 with stainless slide and matte grey frame. Grip texture in similar to springfield XD or other polymer handguns. Plenty of grip but not rough on the hands. Fitment to the bushings and screws is perfect. They don't cover as much of the frame as my original Hogue grips did. Right side grip wasn't quite as long on the top. And both sides seem to cover less of the frame leading up to the front strap. Not a big deal. I'm happy with them. They really stand out.

I purchased these for my EMP4 Champion and they look fantastic on the new pistol. I have purchased at least 6 grip sets over the last few years and all have been Altamont grips because they just look and feel right on my hand guns. The quality is evident as soon as the box is opened, always great. Another plus is the price point being budget friendly. Thanks again, C BlaineThese grips were made for the standard 1911 and the EMP is a bit different which required that I use a small file at the top of both panels to remove just a touch of wood in order for the slide and thumb safety to have clearance. The process took 10 minutes and the results are beautiful panels installed. Altamont site states they will have Springfield panels available soon but I am one for instant gratification with zero tolerance for waiting.

Well made real wood grips. Feels good in your hand and increases grip. No issues with finish or craftsmanship. They fit perfect and look awesome. Would highly recommend if your in the market for an upgraded set of grips for your 1911.

I see a lot of these people complaining about the finish, and the quality of the wood. Can't speak for them, but mine are AWESOME. Nice shiny rosewood finish, and they fit my Girsan MC1911 government perfectly. Ambi-safety is still functional and they were extremely easy to install. Great value for 40 bucks IMO. I was looking at having custom ones made and they START at $100 for good wood grips. Now, you don't get the customization with these, but they absolutely speak for themselves. 9/10 because the underside of the grips are not finished.
