I finally found a nice monitor hood.
I’ve tried three other monitor hoods and they just quite didn’t fit my needs. I called B&H photography in ordered two other hoods that were recommended by the company. I sent them both back and bought this one from Amazon. Nice job guys. I would buy this again.

You don't need the cage to use this
It's very sturdy..you don't need the cage, just some extra velcro. I cut a hole in the side for the hdmi cable. Simple

Very useful when I film outdoors in the sun. Durable construction.

It's a great hoody. A little on the $$$ side.
I get it video and camera equipment is expensive but this guy could be priced a little lower. It is very good though and works well so at least I am getting something that is reliable. I can't argue with that also it is very light and easy to store.

USELESS!
I had to rewrite my review because this product ended being worse than what I originally thought. I bought this Small Rig sunhood for my Ninja and THEN discovered I needed the cage to install it (who sells spares for kits?). So I bought this kit and then discovered NONE of the screws work! The large ones aren't long enough to reach the body of the monitor and ditto for the smaller ones (I had to watch a youtube video from a 3rd party to discover this much as there is no manual). If they had fit I wouldn't be able to insert my SSD because the fit pushes the screen further towards the front which exaggerates the interference of the cage's obstruction. I looked for another appropriate sized screw and the first one I tried fit! What is so difficult for this company to do the simplest things like machine pieces of metal (I bought all SmallRig and found some components aren't compatible with other parts from the same company) and provide fitting screws?In short I paid $156 for a screen protector. USELESS!

Best for the Money, Period
Put this on the Shinobi with the SMALLRIG cage - it beats the OEM hood. You can get your fingers to the screen from below to configure monitor settings - a 4 walled hood will make this a pain. Good design.
