Great taste.
Great product overall. We use it in chili for our game nights and the flavor is spot on. Goes really well with cumin and hatch chili powder mix.

Good for large families, restaurants of all sizes, and bringing some much needed flavor to food during a long nuclear winter.
Well, no more rush trips to the supermarket because I ran out of spices in the middle of cooking for me! I was sick and tired of always running out of a specific spice right as I was about to make a recipe and the little McCormick's jars of powder that cost way too much weren't cutting it. I switched to the generic brand, but the issue running out too fast was still there. Then this big, bad, crush a man's skull with the sheer size of it, jar of Ancho Chili powder arrived. I don't foresee myself running out of Ancho Chili powder in the next year. Or the year after that. Or the next decade really. I'll be more than happy to pass what's left of this jar of Chili powder down to my children, much like my parents passed down their ancient and dusty spices and seasoning salts to me. Apart from the previously mentioned size and volume, this powder has everything you could want in a spice. The deep, earthy reddish brown color, warm scent, and the mild, warm taste that has hint of spiciness to it. I frequently use this as a base for taco and chili seasoning blends and I'm considering making brownies with this mixed into the batter as I write this. The money and time you'll save from not having to visit the store round out the positive traits of this product for a solid 5 out of 5.

Great buy!!
I make a lot of Mexican food, my husbands fav is Pozole. It takes a lot of this powder to make the triple batch for canning. It isa great buy and has a great flavor. Will purchase again when I finish with this one.

Delicious with moderate to more thean decent heat, just delicious.
The pepper still has good heat, fantastic flavor and is is great to spice of prepared meals I like from My Fit Foods which are healthy but never spicy enough for my taste. Good ancho flavor, not as deep & raisiny as the First Street (Smart & Final) brand I bought previously, but this is good value.

Great flavor & great value!
I love this chili powder mixed with a little salt and a pinch of sugar sprinkled over popcorn! Not to mention it’s a staple in many Mexican chili dishes! Great flavor and great value! (Get the night one! It goes quick in the winter months!)

Just right spicy!
This stuff can be hard to find. I add it to my steak seasoning (store bought) and call it my secret recipe. You taste the pepper big time, but there is no burn. Also use it on chicken and salmon. I would say start with a Tsp for every pound of your favorite seasoning, and adjust it from there.

Fresh and spicy....
We use this to make our own chili seasoning for home made chili, tacos, enchiladas, etc. This powdered Ancho chili has a pungent aroma, good flavor with a re-seal-able container. Look up good eats or Alton brown chili seasoning recipe for more details. Super easy to make, and in our opinion it's tastier than the store-bought packets...
