Peterson StroboStomp HD Guitar Tuner (403884)

Fantastic tuner! I love using this because it instantly shows the tuning of my bass as I'm playing. Use a 9vdc power supply - don't use a battery unless you have to. Programmable, and 100s of preset tuning sweeteners. A little bit difficult to learn, but it works right out of the box with just the default settings if you don't want to bother with downloading or updating the firmware. Looks great on my pedal board, and the large readout is easily readable in almost any lighting situation. Color looks great to, and it is a standard pedal size.

if you are like me you grew up with regular tuners. I was skeptical if I wanted to try the strobostomo at first because it cost a little extra more than some of the other tuners. but after using this tuner for my 8 string guitar I can say it is so worth it. it is very intuitive like others says. and I live having different color options. but the real beauty is when I went to intonation my guitar. this tuner is very sensitive to harmonics. not just that but as the note rings out and becomes quiet, the strobostomp still picks up accurately any slight flux in the frequency. I was scared to even intonation my 8 string because it had come setup from the factory so well, but after using this tuner I was amazed at how much my guitar needed to be adjusted, and also how well it sounds. and the mute function is certainly one of the most useful things as well.

40 years of performance experience. I've used all types of tuners. This is by far the best tuner for live performances. My old eyes can see it fine on the floor and the precision is incredible.

Yep. The best. Used a KLIQ and Boss Chromatic tuner and every clip on known to man. This dwarfs them in comparison in regard to accuracy, ease of use and visibility on stage. Yes, its more expensive but when you buy it you now own the best tuning pedal made. I'm in my late 40's and have been in bands since I was 16. Played many shows. Played on many recordings. Hands down best pedal.

I have been using cheap tuners for the last 30 years and I can say this is one of the best investments I have made recently. The accuracy is probably the best out there and it's loaded with features. I would say this is the best tuner you can get.

OK, who does not like a Peterson Strobe Tuner for tuning up. That being said, it's great at doing it's job.Two big things that could be better:1) The battery space is very tight, and makes the latch not work very well. I would of been better for a new modern swing out style, you know the ones that just opens and the battery is installed and popes back into place. What I see is, if I don't take a lot of care in doing the battery change battery clip will break. It's not a very good design at all, more like a after thought, just to get the new product out the door. Very poor in my book and I might have to just set it up in a powered setup.2) The strobe is strobing all the time, kind of a distraction. It would be better to have a button that was more like a on/off for the tuner , and a soft mute also for the audio output to your amp.The tuner works great, but just a couple things would make it so much better of a product for the music player or professional player. The case is well built, nice buttons for adjusting setting, and has a place for power on the back, guitar in and out on the two sides. I couple sticky pads for placing either on the floor or velcroing to a pedal board. Great tuner but Peterson could of worked out a couple things better, maybe they will do a update in the future.
