Husband loved it!
My husband and I just purchased a sailboat and this Swiss army knife is what he wanted for Christmas. He loves it! Happy with this purchase.

Exceptional Quality, Even for Victorinox
Purchased as a gift. Outstanding tool set for maritime use. Impeccable fit and finish. Sturdier, more tactile, durable nylon scales as found on most of the 111 mm Victorinox models. Superior for wet conditions. Not cheap, but exceptional value.

We gave this as a birthday gift to an avid sailor who loved it. A perfect way to celebrate for the guy who has everything...

Great knife
I have a number of Swiss Army knives but this one is SUPER sharp. It feels good and is very solid. I bought it specifically for sailing. Very useful

I Used One of These as I Sailed Around the World
Actually, I went through several of these during our eight-and-a-half-year circumnavigation and I still carry one with me daily. I can’t remember if I bought them from amazon.com or not but I probably did. Even though I own several ‘multi-tools’, mostly Leathermans, I rarely carry those but I’m never without my Swiss Army knife (I’ve carried one version or another every day since I was 14). Enough about me.The Skipper is a good knife but not great. The ones that I have come with a serrated blade which is difficult to sharpen - it’s the only blade that locks. The marlinspike is useful but can’t take a lot of torque - if you have a shackle pin that’s too tight, you’ll probably need to grab an adjustable wrench, aka ‘Crescent’ wrench. The eye at the end of the marlinspike is good for very small shackles that use a thumbscrew. To use the marlinspike to free a recalcitrant knot, you’ll either need a lot of patience or a more robust marlinspike. You might say bad words if you’re in a hurry. The can opener works exceptionally well and I use the end of the can opener for very small slotted screws. The #2 Phillips is great as long as you have the room to turn the knife as it comes out perpendicular. The leather punch is very sharp and I’ve used it many times to add additional holes in my pant’s belt (I’m not going to say whether I was letting it out or taking it in). Mine didn’t come with the pliers but I would be concerned that the pliers might make the knife too thick. As it is, it leaves a significant bulge in my pocket that can make one self-conscious. Unfortunately, I’ve donated several of these knives to the very nice people at the TSA Security checkpoints but that’s not the knife’s fault. Frankly, I feel naked without mine.Good luck, fair winds and calm seas.

Not a skippers knife
One season and I treated it with T-9 multiple times.
