When you assemble this model, remember to paint each section before you put the decals on each section, clear coat the sections, and then assemble the sections to make the completed model.

It is kind of small I feel for 30$, but I feel that is another issue. Overall, it is a great model and was an easy build. The hardest part for some may be the decals. Always have to take your time and be careful because all decals can be fragile and finicky. I don't like the show but I do love Star Trek and I like the ship. Very interesting and unique design and enjoy seeing it in my collection.

The Discovery NCC-1031 1:2500 is about 12" long. The kit is designed to go together easily and it was a fun build. The decals add an excellent level of detail and are really easy to apply. They cover pretty much everything so only a few details require painting. My only squawk is that its on the small size and I'd love to see Round2 release this ship in 1:1000th scale to match their equally magnificent Pike Enterprise!

The media could not be loaded.  I base coated mine copper prior to assembling. With the provided Aztec decals I do not think a base coat is completely necessary. There is a company in Germany (Brainstorm Creative Arts / eBay) that makes a lighting kit for this model. I did not install on this one but will on a second copy. I had the lighting kit within 5 days of ordering.

I enjoy this show and I love Star Trek all together. I am upset with the box calling this a snap kit. I have put together Star Trek models since high school and this is absolutely one you need to glue. I have even painted the clear parts so it would look more,screen accurate. You get plenty of decals for both the Discovery and her sister ship the Glenn. You even have decals to make it the ISS Discovery. It’s. A cool ship but I think you need to glue it not snap.

Husband bought this for himself for Christmas. Looking forward to it being put together in a few years. Shipping was fast and box has held up to husband Looking at the back and front of the box many many times.

Still working on putting the decals on. It’s a time consuming process. But otherwise it looks great painted copper and added color in some other places.

Between myself, 39, my two sons 10, and 12, we had a hard time assembling this, and at the end when things didn't snap together solidly we decided to return. We felt the product wasn't strong enough for the kids' use and did not assemble as advertised. It also was looking poor quality (not like the picture on the box or on the amazon add) and you needed to put stickers to make it look halfway decent.We do not recommend a buy.

仕上がりの全長は300mm、円盤部の直径は90mmくらいの大きさです。もう少し大きくてもいいかなーくらいのサイズ感ですね。以下、2年にひとつくらいしか模型製作をしない人の感想です。組立／パーツの数は少なく、合い具合も良いので、組み立てはスムーズで簡単です。スター・トレックの連邦船でしばしば悩みの種になる「細長いワープナセルが水平・平行にならない」現象もほとんどありません。デカール貼り／振り返ってみると、製作時間の大半はデカールを貼っていました。使うデカールは70種ほどで、船体のほぼずべてが覆われることになります。一部、貼る順番が指示されていたり、重ね貼りをするものもあるので、さっとでも組立説明図に目を通しておいた方がいいでしょう。Netflixの映像画面を一時停止して貼り込み位置を確認したのは２カ所だけでしたが、見なくてもだいじょうぶだと思います。デカール自体は水に数秒浸せば台紙から動かせる使いやすいタイプ。ですが、湾曲した面や鋭角部分に貼ることも多いので、「ピンセット」「マークセッター（もしくはマークソフター）」「綿棒」の『３種のツール』がとても重宝します。手先の器用さが平均点でも大きな失敗をせずに仕上がったのは、この３種のツールのおかげです。仕上げ／写真は、カッパー色部分やクリアパーツなどの一部に着色、タミヤ・ウェザリングマスターでシルバーを全体にまぶした上で、隠し味程度のスミ入れ。最後につや消しのトップコートで仕上げています。もしかしたら半光沢のほうが金属のギラギラ感が多めに残って良かったかも。1日1時間から1時間半くらい時間をとって、ちょうど一週間で完成にこぎつけましたが、最初から最後まで楽しみながら製作できました。慣れた方ならもっと早くできるのではないでしょうか。プラモデルは買ってばかりで押し入れいっぱいになっていますが、珍しく「次はどれ作ろうかなぁ」という気分になっています。とっつきやすく仕上がりも良い満足度高いキットでした。

出来の良いキットです！接着剤いらずで、シッカリ組めますし、合わせも、国産ばりに、とても良いです。ニッパーと紙やすり（400番/1000番）のみで組み上げて、塗装もしないで組み上げました（画像は、最低限度の筆塗り２～３箇所のみで製作）なのにこの出来は素晴らしいキットです・・が、デカールの貼り付けが細かいラインあわせると少々難易度高いです！下手に合わせずに、ある程度あってたらそのままで我慢が一番です合わせようとずらすと逆にデカール捲くれたり破れる事が多いです。以前Ｄ型作りましたが、あれより手間かかりました。デカール台紙ごと細かく切り位置合わせしながら乗せると良いでしょう。塗装せずにこの出来は満足です！

部品点数が少なくて作りやすかったです。
