Is it possible to buy just the ink tank for this printer?

The tank is only a bottle and you can purchase it separately from many suppliers off the internet.

Does this have ethernet connectivity?

The specification of this printer may have changed since it was originally answered. My M2120, purchased June 2021 does not have Ethernet connection - WiFi and USB only

Can you print from a mac desktop computer/ os? the spec seems to suggest it will only print from a windows pc ... please clarify. thank you.

I don't own a Mac so do not know if it can print from it, I can however print from Window, Linux, Chrome OS and Air Print off an iPhone and iPad, so I don't see why it will not work with a Mac
