I love using shea butter for my hair care but choose not to apply it to my face or body. For those areas, I prefer a different product from West Africa, which I prefer to keep private as I believe some things should remain within our own communities.This shea butter is pretty good; it has a nice scent and a smooth, creamy consistency. I purchased it not just for my hair but also as a moisturizing treatment for my leather furniture. I mix shea butter into my DIY leather conditioner, which I use every six months. While it may feel oily at first, my leather absorbs it wonderfully, revitalizing my 30-year-old set and restoring its original look and feel.Remember, not all shea butter is of high quality, and they can vary significantly while this brand stands out, it's important to choose wisely. I believe I did!Typically, I prefer not to buy shea butter online because I have a black-owned African Caribbean supermarket nearby, but unfortunately, they were out of stock. This company is black-owned, yet during my visit to their website, I noticed a limited representation of black employees in the images, although there was a notable presence of other POC. Regardless, I chose to purchase from them because they were the only brand I found on Amazon without needing to search extensively for ownership details. While this may not be a priority for everyone, it is very important to me.

I bought this when I was pregnant the first time to help ease stretch marks (it worked like a charm). The smell is a little earthy, but not strong at all. This stuff is magical. I use it on dry hands, cracked feet, and all over for smooth skin. I highly highly recommend especially if pregnant. And a bonus: can’t beat the price.

Good quality, nice and smooth good quantity for the price last wrong and is versatile. I use it for my hair my skin lips for scars and scratches and rashes surprisingly not greasy or oily.

The natural, earthy scent is pleasant and not overpowering.However, the color can stay on your cloths, which also means I have to warm it up in my hands before applying. It’s slightly heavier than white shea butter, so it takes a little longer to absorb. But overall, it's a great natural product for deep hydration!

I’ve been using this shea butter on my dog’s dry skin, and it’s worked wonders! African shea butter does wonders for my skin and this brand is very high quality. I can spend 5 hours in the Sun coated with this butter and I will not get any sort of sunburn but the tanning rays magically come through. It's a great moisturizer for the skin. The only issue I have with this brand is that of the three containers I've purchased two of them have cracked around the top of the container just below the rim where the cap to the container attaches to the container itself. The cracks appeared to have been already present when I received the containers. This can be a problem because if the butter is left out in the sun or stored in a hot car and begins to liquefy some of it can leak out of the crqck. This is an issue for me because I will leave the container sitting in the sun so the butter will begin to liquefy as that allows you to apply it with much more ease and effectiveness than if you try to apply it at room temperature when it is solid which also causes you to use more product than if you let it begin to liquefy into an oil and apply it thereafter. Despite the problem with the container this shea butter is an excellent brand and an unbeatable price.

This product is amazing. My whole family loves it. The consistency is solid at first, but immediately smooths into paste in your hands. This is the best moisturizing product I've ever found, and my husband agrees.Some reviews complain about the smell and I don't know why. It has a natural scent, but in a good way. Great value for money. I got the yellow unfiltered one.BUY IT. Your skin will thank you.Update: We are still loving it! My 18 month old has a very uncommon skin condition. He had to have a skin biopsy (they carved a hole into his back the size of my thumbnail) and this butter has helped heal his scar faster than anything else. It's also healed my permanently dry lips and face. No more lizard skin for me!
