These simply non-slip stick-on "treads" are perfect for giving you just enough grip in the tub to keep your feet from slipping out from under you. Not too rough on the feet, these seem to hit that "Goldilocks" level of roughness that you need in the shower.Much like painting, preparation is everything. Follow the manufacturer's directions, and you'll be fine. Scrub the tub with something simple, like Bon Ami cleanser. Rinse well, and then dry it off. Wet a paper tower with some rubbing alcohol, and rub the entire area thoroughly.SPECIAL INSTALLATION TIPS: Make sure that no water is still dripping from the faucet or shower head, to avoid the area getting wet. I stuffed paper towels in the water spout, and moved the shower head (on a hose) out of the tub.I laid out some guide lines using blue "painter's tape" to help me lay out my tread pattern more evenly. Most of the treads came off the release paper easily, but two needed some gentle coaxing to remove.They've been in position for a week, and I've even scrubbed them. The treads seem to be holding up nicely. Most importantly, they give just enough roughness to feel secure during a soapy shower. MUCH better than a mat that's hard to clean.It was also nice to see that these are manufactured in the USA. This is a simple product that does exactly what it's supposed to. Very cheap insurance to keep from falling in the tub. Excellent product!

These made my deadly tub so much safer! I followed the installation instructions EXACTLY, and they are all still firmly stuck down after two and a half months! A few of them have a little discoloration from being touched during installation, but it’s not too noticeable. They are otherwise invisible.Some notes:1. It took about a pack and a half to get good coverage on the whole bottom of the tub.2. It was a bit difficult to apply them in an attractive design. I ended up laying them sticky side up in the pattern I wanted and carefully flipping them over. You can see them well enough that if I’d stuck them down haphazardly, it would be noticeable.3. If you have pets, be really careful not to let any hairs get stuck to the adhesive! It’s really hard to get them off, and you don’t want to permanently trap hair onto your tub. It won’t look good and may affect adhesion.4. If you’re installing these for kids, the elderly, or someone with a physical disability, put down way more than you think you need and go for a horizontal pattern. The way I did it is fine for me, but there is considerable space between strips, so there may still be some slipping hazard for some people.

The strips come in a sheet that you have to separate. Not difficult to pull apart. Arrange the strips in your tub (make up your own pattern) and the leave them there. A little masking tape helped keep them in place. One at a time, peel the backing off and put the strip back where it was. Press each with your fingers to set them in place. Do the same for each strip. Use something plastic and fairly stout (shampoo bottle lid) to really stitch each one in place. I bought the clear ones and could see the color change as I stitched each one. Let them set overnight. First shower was a surprise! They are fairly smooth, but definitely rough enough to keep my feet in place! Very reassuring! I've only had them in there a week, but so far, they have been very effective in keeping my feet put! Don't know how long they'll last or if they'll get moldy around the edges, but I can finally shower without worrying about falling!

Tried this product after having installed a similar product and liking that product. I didn’t remember the previous brand purchase so I tried these. I wanted additional strips put I place for added security ….these are Not gritty like my first purchase…they have no texture…. I now am revisiting a better possible product. I’ll spend more to get a better product. I will remove these and replace. Been in about 2 weeks. My older 8 yr old strips still are gritty, still look fine…. this new purchase doesn’t come close to comparing. I tend to think you get what you pay for.

I applied these because my shower is very slippery. My expectation of these was to be more rough of a surface to prevent slipping. They are very slippery. No difference with these to bare shower floor. Not worth the money

They are great, you do not slip in the tub or on the walkway. You can use them not just for the tub.
