No more fishy burps
I have been taking fish oil for some time because its omega-3 fatty acids are thought to be important in preventing and managing heart disease. I initially bought plain (not coated) fish oil soft gels because they were considerably cheaper. However, I immediately discovered they made me burp with a fishy taste – yuck and no thank you! So I purchased some enteric coated (“burpless”) soft gels and no longer had the problem. My husband’s doctor recently suggested to him that he take fish oil tablets. I had him try the plain ones first since I hadn’t finished them, and he had the same fishy burp problem. So, it’s burpless fish oil soft gels for both of us here on out.Nature Made is a good brand and receives the USP verified mark meaning, among other criteria, it contains the ingredients listed on the label, in the declared strength and amounts. That’s good to know, as the FDA does not regulate supplements and sometimes you don’t know exactly what you’re getting. The fish oil in these supplements comes from Peru, and they are encapsulated and quality tested in the USA. The capsules are big, measuring just over an inch, but I do not have any problems swallowing them. This “value size” bottle of 200 soft gels is a more economical way to buy. Great fish oil capsules without the fishy belches.
