The only canned food my cat will eat
My cat is finicky. Lotus Venison is the only canned food she will eat.It has plenty of moist broth, which helps.Just be sure to remove the white membrane in there before feeding the Venison to your cat. What is that white membrane? Intestine?

Spanky actaully loves this!
One of my cats has developed allergies to the proteins in his regular food so I have had to switch to duck, rabbit, kangaroo (yes! a Canadian pet food company actually makes kangaroo food for cats) and/or venison. I thought venison stew sounded pretty tasty, but what do I know? I'm not a cat. The kitty with allergies will not go near it, so I thought OK, no biggie, the other 3 cats will eventually finish it. Nope. They won't touch it either. One sniff and they walk away. So glad I wasted almost $70 on this.UPDATE: A second cat might have developed allergies (poor kitty was having awful diarrhea). When I brought him home after his abdominal ultrasound (which showed evidence of an inflamed pancreas) he was starving, so I thought why not see if he'll eat this stuff now. He devoured it! And now it's a regular part of his diet. I'm about to order another case.

Not safe! Bacteria growth.
The media could not be loaded. Bulging can in the case due to bacteria growth. Not safe to feed my cat I looked it up. If you will rectify the situation by refunding me or sending a replacement case I will happily take this review down. Until then, it stands.

Cat likes it
I was looking for a venison-based wet food for my cat and tried this one. My finicky cat liked the taste and ate well. The food is very wet, with almost a soup-like consistency, so it was a bit messy at times, but anything for my furbaby.

She likes it. Why I will never know.
Just like what everyone else complained about. It's a liquiid and a bit of yucky looking goopy meat here and there. My cat happens to like it so I continue to hold my nose and give it to her.

They're pushing each other out of the way for this stuff.
I have a cat with chronic pancreatitis who's been on prescription food for a while. My vet has been having trouble getting deliveries of the prescription food so I've been looking for an alternative and this was listed as a healthy food for cats with pancreatitis.Normally when I feed my cats, I have to watch and make sure the one cat sticks to his prescription food. It must be bland stuff because he leaves a lot behind and my other cat won't finish it off for him. I've tried other healthy alternative brands and watched as just walked away from it, even when I mixed it with food they liked. It doesn't matter how healthy a food might be, if I can't get my cats to eat it, it's worthless.Today I opened a can of Lotus Venison Stew for my ailing cat and put some down unmixed to see what his first reaction would be. I fully expected him to turn his nose up and walk away. Instead both cats converged on his dish and were pushing each other so they could get to it. I had to put down a second plate of the Venison Stew for my other cat so he'd let the first cat eat, and this was while he still had a plate of his own Fancy Feast sitting there waiting for him.
