The Anglican Rosary: Prayer Book

This is an American book, but Anglican services and prayers are familiar the world over, so no problems for those of us on this side of the Pond. If you only knew about the traditional rosary, the more recent development of an Anglican one may come as a surprise. This prayer book is the perfect companion to the Anglican rosary, showing how it can be used for compact and private versions of the offices of Morning and Evening Prayer or Compline, but also adapted to a range of circumstances or seasons, and rosary adaptations of e.g. St. Patrick's Breastplate or the Jesus Prayer. This is just the companion you need to the beads and, just as you do not have to be Roman Catholic to find the traditional rosary an aid and comfort, you do not have to be an Anglican to find the prayers in this little book exactly what you might need to practise guided contemplative prayer. As at least one other reviewer has suggested, get the hardback as you will use this prayer book a lot. This is not to say that the power and beauty of the Book of Common Prayer is not still there for every time and season, but this adjunct to one's prayer life is welcome.

Great choice of beautiful prayers, I use this book all the time

This book if bloody amazing. I bought this with 3 Anglican Rosarys from Jeaniecraft on amazon. I couldn't ask for anything better for meditation of prayer.

The media could not be loaded. It is probably best to buy this product in hardback. The book is only about 70 pages long and the paperback spine may tear easily from repeated use because this book is shorter than most so that makes the spine of the book thinner. I highly recommend buying this book for a very throughough work of prayers in it's entirety for Anglicans/Episcopalians/Methodists/Protestants prayer book for the Anglican/Episcopalian/Methodist/Protestant Rosary. The prayers in this book can be used for all of the denominations mentioned not just limited to Anglicans but was published originally for Anglicans. These prayers are good I believe for all denominations listed above but other denominations other than Anglican may be able to obtain additional prayers specific to their denomination from their own priest or pastor. I am so glad I purchased this little book; it is a true blessing to be able to pray the prayers within, and it is a joy to have such a variety of prayers at hand. Can't recommend it enough.

This is a nice book -- it looks and feels good (textured cover); and the prayers are great. Just an FYI, this is a small book--almost a booklet. Well worth the price.
