It’s perfect steamer. Hold a lot. Food steams very quickly. Goes in the dishwasher!

Pretty, functional and long-lasting.
I love this steamer! I've used metal steamers for years, they are OK, but come apart easily and once they're bent they never quite work the same. This one is easy to put back together if one of the leaves comes off. It can't melt unless you let your pot boil dry.

Be careful, this won't fit in smaller pots
Purchased this to throw out my old one which was metal. However, I found that it wouldn't fit into the pots that I typically used in the past. Had to move to wider ones. The quality is excellent!

Ruined $300 Pot
I used this to steam an artichoke in my $300 D5 All Clad 4 qt sauce pan. When I opened the lid to take the artichoke out what I found was this silicone steamer had completely melted and was a big ball of gloop on the artichoke and coating the inside of my pan. See the pictures. The pot is now completely ruined I am not exaggerating when I say it i costing me $300 to replace the pan. Buy and use at your pan's risk. stick to stainless steal steamers

Won't stay together!
I really like this item because of its design. It's silicone, has feet that won't scratch my pots, and is the perfect size for just two people wanting steamed sides. Did a great job the first time I used it. But when I tried to lightly wash it afterward, one of the flaps popped off. No big deal, easy to see how to reattach. But when I get that one on, another one pops off, etc. And I go round & round with it! I can't seem to get ALL the flaps to stay attached and folded back into a ball the way it arrived. It does a great job but is very annoying so far.
