Very quick when auto scanning, it begins to auto scan the second you connect the tool to the vehicle which saves you a good amount of time. It's very easy to use and understand the codes, has alot of features for the price. I have 3 vehicles so the fact this scan tools can scan most vehicles up to mercedes means I will definitely be able to use it on all my vehicles. Overall im very satisfied with the product.

Super easy to use! So I’ve been working on cars for years. My dad is a master GM certified technician and is master ASE certified. We have had a family business for over 38 years that just shut down. The new owner bought the business plus all the tools. All I was able to keep was my tool box. We had a Snap-On scanner that I used all the time. I’ve been slowly buying tools that had to be left behind. My son’s 2002 Subaru Outback was notorious for the check engine light coming on. Always showed 2 codes, P0420 catalyst system below threshold and P0456 evap leak. His light came on and since I had no scanner I researched a few and decided to by a Launch. Not only did it detect the codes and I was able to clear them, it detected a code that my other scanner never picked up. Code 93 vehicle speed sensor #1 circuit. I was able to repair the code issue, clear the codes and the light has been off since then. I would highly recommend the launch scanner. It does much more than I expected and look forward to using it to its full potential.

I bought this scanner to diagnose an ABS/Stabilitrak issue on a Chevy Equinox that another scanner I own couldn't read. I also hooked it up to my friends Dodge Ram and Dodge Journey. The scanner was able to auto-detect all 3 vehicles once plugged in. The initial scan took longer than I anticipated, but was very easy to perform and it stored reports of what was found. I haven't had a chance to try any of the advanced functions yet, but so far am impressed with the scanner's abilities given the price compared to more expensive brands. 4 stars for now, but may change once I use the other functions.

This scan tool is perfect for a mid level technician or extreme DIYer. I bought this tool to use both at work, professionally, and at home for personal vehicles, and for side work and I work on all types of vehicles from Hondas to Mercedes. So far, I have enjoyed using this tool for all three of those things. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and has regular updates. It has done every service light and parking break reset light that I have needed. The Launch tool is durable and comes with a nice carry case and a TPMS tool which has been useful. The customer service from Kingbolem is also very good and responsive.

Bought in April 2025 during one of the limited time mark downs for $195 (reg price $258). The unit is really impressive but the advertising flawed. The scanner can 'support' make specific codes and resets for 100's of cars. The advertising gives the impression that all of these features are included with the purchase. This seems to be the case with all the 3 or 4 sellers on Amazon offering this scanner. However, while it does have a lot of car specific features, some features are not included with the scanner out of the box. For example, if you want to scan for TPMS problems or reset the codes on a Toyota, you need to pay an extra fee to download the special features and codes specific for Toyota first. Then as an extra thing to keep in mid, that download is only usable for 12 months.-----The scanner itself seems to be well built and has a solid feel. It has a rubberish outer coating and can probably survive most drops from 3-4 feet. The OBD2 cable detaches for storage, which is nice. It comes with a case and a USB-C for charging. The docs are helpful to get up and running but not of much use once you get into advanced functions. The software seems stable and the menus are pretty easy to navigate. It has built in DTC code look up (which is included). It's wifi capable for system and generic OBD2 updates as well as downloading any rented make specific features.-----I believe this is actually a very capable tool, but having a subscription model to operate at full potential seems to be more for geared for a commercial business and not the average DIY home mechanic. I have bought a different (and cheaper) Launch scanner that is bi-directional and is specific to the make of my cars and actually has all the special modules already included. I'll be returning the crp129i. 3 stars for misleading advertising and not the item itself.

Picked up this scanner after researching those that can read ABS and Transmission codes. This scanner is easy to use and comes with good instructions. There are many videos on how to use this scanner. Batter was mostly charged when received and ready to go. Fired up the unit and followed the prompts. Signed into wifi and it did everything it needed to do. Updated very fast. I have since used this on a couple GM and Chrysler vehicles and the amount of info you can access it pretty huge. I can see all available PIDs and you can see live data of them also. I can't believe I waited this long to get one. Well worth the cost if you maintain vehicles!
