The lights worked but have not tried the outlet which is like a cigarette lighter outlet
Got it in two days in new condition. Charged it about 19 hours and then jump started my Honda CRV - 2011 which had a battery that could not even open the door locks, 80% dead I guess. Turning key did NOTHING. It was dead. After hooking up the CAT and turning the red button to the jump start position, I turned the key once and held it for about 3 or 4 cranks (2 seconds?) and it started right up solidly!! Just follow the directions exactly as the manual states. I'll have to see how well it holds the charge. I am recharging it for 24 hours since it was used to start a car. It's heavy duty and straight-forward. Does not charge the battery - just jump starts the car. Your alternator has to recharge the battery so leave your car on or drive for 15 to 20 minutes. The lights worked but have not tried the outlet which is like a cigarette lighter outlet. You need an extension cord type of electric cord to charge the unit and it is not included.

Works great until it doesn't
I ordered this in Feb 2020, It worked fantastic, lots of reserve power and very easy to use. It is very heavy but that is to be expected. But after about 6 months it wouldn't charge any longer. It has a one year warranty but shipping would cost almost half of what I paid for it. I decided to open it up and see if I could figure out the problem. The first thing I noticed is that the listing says it has a AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) internal battery. Nope! The battery is labeled "Sealed Lead-Acid Battery SEL CB21-12 (12V 21AH)". No complaints about how it works but the advertising is obviously deceitful. After some testing I found the internal battery charger was no longer producing a charging output. I verified power in, but nothing coming out. The charger is labeled "Intertek 3100397" and "Battery Charger HT7705-RP830, SEL", "Input 120V 60Hz, 0.6A", "Output 12V DC 2A".Edit: I opened the charger and it has an internal 2A fuse. I hoped that might be the problem but it was good. I traced the voltage through the full wave rectifier, zener diode and step down transformer and that was also good. But somewhere in the filtering and control section the voltage was lost. I didn't look any further because it was obvious it was bad and not worth my time. The charger is probably a $5-10 part and if CAT had sourced a more reliable part they would have had an awesome unit.

A Northern Man's Best Friend.
You only get 800 amps through the best jumper cables (if you're trying to jumpstart your truck with someone's small car, then you're gonna need a prayer and time on your side), and technically this product offers 1,000 instant amps. It's very tolerant of cool weather, which is when you most often need a back-up battery when your main one craps out on you from the year round stress. My experiences using this product? When my truck died in my garage (Arctic weather really eats away at your main battery's power, so my lesson was if you're coming up with slow starts in the winter months; try logging in some more miles to charge your battery for a colder night), I tried using my car to jump start my truck with 1 Gauge cables. Initially I tried using this battery to jump start my truck, but I was getting impatient when it wouldn't pop off instantly and 15 minute cycles of waiting; so I went over to the jump cables and found out after 45 minutes I was getting more power from my back-up battery than the cables. So then I went back to the battery and let my back-up battery charge my main battery for an hour and a half. Finally popped off (barely). My estimates from that night were telling me I was getting 3 times more power from this battery than my back-up. The saddest part was I hadn't charged my back-up battery since the summer months and it was severely neglected until I actually needed it. So now this battery is getting a lot of TLC and attention. You don't really appreciate anything until you need them...

Defective product in my opinion
I ordered a CJ 3000 from you all back in February if I'm not mistaken it would never ever take a charge I read the reviews it's nothing good said about that battery charger like I said I charged it and I charged it it would never take a charge I try to use it one time but did it not do anything by cranking up a vehicle that one of my friends was stuck in the parking lot I got a warranty on it with the one you wanted that you all give me I got an extended warranty on it for 3 years package that I bought I wished I would already reviews before I bought this product but to me it's not worth it I seen somewhere on the reviews said the lady that I don't know maybe she's a representative for cat CJ 3000 she said it probably was sitting in the warehouse too long and the battery went dead and it would not take a charge but like I say it do not take a charge I had to go out and buy a cord for it cuz someone please respond back to my email so we can take care of this situation I got another product now that I bought a blunt digital display Quick Charge portable power pack I got it charging now but the flashlight do not come on WOW I must be having some kind of look buying products offline and I order everything from Amazon I know I do not need to be completely charged for the flashlight to come on you can send an email back to me thank you from Travis Carson

Nice unit, but only a CAT licensed name, not a CAT built product
Nice unit, though not quite as HD as expected from the CAT name, which is licensed only - CAT does not make this unit. The good - cables are 4ga, clamps have braided wire connecting both sides for added current handling, fairly light for the capacity (though it's still pretty heavy), easy to use.The not-so-good - no charging cable included (need to buy JNC350 Charging Cord or similar) or you can't use it out of the box. Battery is lighter duty than what is included in the JNC 660/770 products which to be fair are much heavier and do cost more.Overall a good value compared to most everything else of this capacity level.

It doesn't compare to other jump boxes I've purchased!
Oh its bad! Oh mercy its a terrible product! Doesnt come close to the less expensive ES5000 Booster pac. I thought I would try the cj3000 because of the cat name and boy was that a marketing trick! You guy got me good on this one. Your jump box is garbage.
