MICROJIG Matchfit DVC-1177K2 Dovetail Clamp Pro, Green/Yellow/Silver

Simple to use in more ways than I originally thought. Cutting out the slots takes time but the time it saves me is immense every time I use them.

I bought this as a gift, ad the recipient is so happy with it.

Used this to clamp workpieces to a sheet of 19mm ply on a workbench.I was going to route out channels, and put in T-track, but that’s loads of work, and T-track is expensive.This is a cheaper and much quicker alternative, and you can easily put dovetail slots in any wooden surface you need to clamp to.I don’t have a 1/2” router, but my set of Trend 1/4” bits has a bit with the right dimensions. Route with a straight bit first, then the dovetail.I guess eventually the dovetail slots will tear, but it seems pretty strong so far.Works great, but pretty expensive for what it is.

I bought this to make some jigs for my new workshop and was initially impressed with the quality of the parts. There was a single threaded insert missing from one of the mitred clamps. However a quick email to MicroJig in the USA got a response within 24 hours and an offer to post free of charge a replacement part. Assuming it arrives I can’t fault customer service and once again I’m happy with MicroJig products although they are a little expensive in the UK sadly.

These are so awesome to work with. The system is substantially cheaper than T-tracks. I know…t-tracks don’t need to be replaced. Well…your bench top will. Might as well save money and route the dovetails for these clamps. They are simple to use and pretty awesome.Make sure you understand how your router works and have a sturdy guide or you may end up with tracks that you cannot use. I had a small hiccup where my router slid away from the guide. This caused the groove to be too wide to allow good clamping. Not a big deal, I just slide past it or don’t clamp in that area.

I was surprised how much I like these. They are super versatile providing you plenty of options. Great quality, but my only reservation is I feel the Microjig products are priced a little high which I have to admit inhibits me from buying more. I'm certain I would have picked up more clamps and accessories if they were more competitively priced.

Useless; a Festool collet would cost me another € 75,-
