Perfect for recovering from knee injuries
Perfect for recovery. After a knee injury, you want stability, structure, and pressure around your knee. This was perfect for the months after a dislocation and torn ligament. The brace has an open area behind the knee to avoid friction and sweat buildup, and is a lot more comfortable than most braces.I have seen some reviews saying that this is a complicated brace, but I would disagree. I would say that this brace is the next step in recovery after fully immobilizing the joint. Perfect for when you are trying to regain mobility, but don't have full range of motion or strength. If you are recovering from injury or surgery, I would highly recommend! If you don't have severe knee issues, this may be too much structure and support for you. This brace will wrap around your leg and fasten in the back with velcro. Then, there are two velcro straps in the front and back to give additional support. The sides have a kind of support beam made of metal or dense plastic that has a hinge allowing you to bend your knee. After my initial injury, this support on both sides of the knee prevented additional dislocation throughout physical therapy and other aspects of my recovery process.I'm still using this intermittently when I know I'm going to be more active, and I feel very secure.

Only one issue, sizing.
I am on the hunt for the perfect knee brace. This one came very very close. This is brace #2 and unfortunately this one will also be returned. My issue with it is size related. I used their size chart and ordered a medium. For reference, my thigh is 18” and my calve at its widest point is 15”. As you can see in the photos, the brace fits my thigh perfectly but my knee is swimming. Even on the tightest setting the brace is too big for my calf and therefore does not secure my knee. I think this brace would be awesome for someone with a calf larger than mine.Pros- Breathable material, if fit correctly, I think it would stabilize your knee well, seems to be well made but I can’t comment on durability without being able to use it. The hinges provide a very specific kind of stability. I found the part of the brace that fit to be comfortable.Cons- Sizing was the main issue. The small is too small for my thigh but the medium is too large for my calf. I am going to say ease of use is a little on the harder side. There are a lot of straps which are a good thing for securing your knee but they definitely take some getting used to especially if you’re putting it on alone.

Works well. Won't stop you from hyperflexion.
Great quality, and super sticky velcro. Very comfortable. It's not designed to keep you from flipping your leg too far forward. If you have that kind of injury, find something else. This keeps me twisting from my knee which is what I needed.

Works for a bit
The first thing I didn’t care for was the main straps are in the back. If you don’t put it on just right then the Velcro would up against your skin and rubs. The second thing was that with in 6 months the Velcro on the main straps wears down and won’t stay. The secondary straps keep it in place since the Velcro is much better on those. I liked how comfortable it was and supportive. I only gave it 3 stars because of the design and need to get a new one every 6 months. It was easy to take apart and wash it!!

Best hinged brace!
This is the best hinged brace I have worn. Tried them all! I can literally do all my walking, weight lifting everything with this brace. Highly recommend.

Just the support I needd
I had to "upgrade" from compression sleeves to hinged braces for my knees. The compression sleeves were just getting too hard to get on & off before & (especially) after workouts. Because these are wraps, they're much easier to get on & off but they do take a minute. There are two main straps that secure in the back (above & below the bend in your knee). Then there are additional top and bottom straps on the front and the back. They're all secured by hook & loop. So.... that's a lot of straps (6 total). But it means you can really customize the fit. I wear them over workout leggings or with shorts. Either way, they absorb a lot of sweat. The hinges on the side give me more confidence and provide the stability I need for squats, getting up & down the mat and even careful side lunges. The patella ring is very cushioned so I'm fine being on all fours now. They also don't bunch up behind my knees. This type of brace cost 3x as much in the store. I think the value is great. If you need a brace that prohibits nearly all ROM in your knee(s), then you need to go medical grade. These are good for someone like me who needs some stability and control while I work out with arthritic knees.

Excellent Knee Brace for Torn ACL
My sister helped me pick this out for my son's torn ACL, he has been wearing it everyday and prefers it over one that he was given at therapy. It is durable and comfortable. Would buy again
