Safari Ltd. Lion Figurine - Detailed 9.5" Plastic Model Figure - Fun Educational Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 1+

Great quality, good weight, realistic! Love this!

I purchased the Safari Ltd Wildlife Wonders Lion for my 4 and 1/2 yr old grandson. I have purchased several Safari Ltd plastic animals in the past and have always been pleased with the realism, design, and sturdiness of these toys. The lion is no exception. It is much more realistic than a stuffed animal, yet not "scary" in detail at all. My grandson is in the "dinosaur" phase right now, but I was pleasantly surprised how much he likes to play with his Safari Ltd lion. This toy has definitely stimulated some great discussion between us and we've looked up lots of facts about lions since he's been playing with this toy. I should mention that the Safar Ltd Lion doesn't "do" anything - no batteries, no lights, no sounds, no action. But, the great thing is that it's made of strong heavy plastic, and stimulates some very creative play and opportunities to learn. My only caution is because it's made of heavy plastic, lion "leaping" (as in throwing the lion) has to be discouraged:) I am very impressed with all the Safari Ltd toys and highly recommend them for any child, as a creative "antidote" to all the electronic action toys on the market right now.

It is the perfect lion for kids. Lifelike and fun for imaginary play.

I purchased this figurine in thinking that it would be the size as the papo or schleich lion, but that was not the case. It is about a foot long and a little on the heavy side. Although I did not get what I wanted, I am not degrading the quality of this toy at all. It is VERY sturdy and would be a great for a child 7 and older.

We have been looking for one of these since they sold out at Turpentine Creek big cat rescue. Way cooler than the smaller regular sized animal figures. Exactly what we wanted!
