Compact but so good and bright. Can be a life saving light worth every penny.

Like the warning Triangle review I have done earlier, I would not just reccomend these to every driver, but as a retired Police Officer, who has attended countless Road Traffic Accidents and seen the misery it inflicts upon many. I have also been the bearer of bad news, at this time of year in particular, when drivers minds can easily be on other things and not on the road ahead. Hence I also state that it should be part of the MOT to carry warning triangles and illuminated warnings, especially in the days where the Hard Shoulders have been removed on most, if not all, motorways in our area. A decission I must question made with finance in mind not safety. These beacons can be sited on top of a vehicle or in the carriageway to warn of an obstruction and to slow down and be ready to stop if needed. I would reccomend these to every driver on the roads in the UK. They are bright and easily seen from far off. I just hope we never need to use them, but having them in the boot will make you feel safer on the roads.

Works well, though not suitable for placing on the road as there is insufficient base weight to prevent it blowing over it the slightest wind. The magnetic base if ideal for sticking to your bodywork.

..will keep us safe when picking litter up from the road side and cutting back weeds on cycle paths etc

I've bought these for everyone in my family. I like that they are magnetic. I wanted something I could grab quickly as I commute on a smart motorway. The fact I could put down my window and stick it to the roof is a massive appeal. Also compact enough I can fit in my glove box, my sister keeps here under my driving seat. Good for a grab and go! Added benefit that they can be held and waved so if I was wanting to warn other drivers of my stranded car from the side of the motorway or other drivers of a crash ahead I could wave them about like a loony. I'm really impressed with them. It makes me feel like I have a plan in an emergency. You need 6xAAA batteries - 3 for each light.

Cons: 3 AAA batteries needed, not ideal if they go flat or batteries leak in hot/extreme temperatures you wouldn’t be able to leave them in the car. Also the 2 items are quite small, (use a ruler first to see how big before you buy in case you wanted something bigger)Pros: Tested and they light up well but I’m sure there is a better way to power them? they are magnet at the base to stick on the carThe little box they come in is really good for storing them

These things and first aid kits should be mandatory for all cars on the road.I witnessed a motorcyclist crash into a car.I used my car to shield him and put on my hazard and fog lights. No one had a first aid kit and took the ambulance 25 mins to arrive!Even with the lights and warning triangles, idiot drivers were still coming up fast to the accident scene.This product (you get two) has a magnetic base to stick on to the car side or on top. Alternatively has the plastic base which spins to form 4 feet so you can use it on the ground.Get this and a first aid kit!
