The only GW tool you should ever buy
I've spent most of my hobby life avoiding overpriced GW tools like the plague. But then someone highly recommended this to me so I gave it a shot.Seriously, buy this thing if you're serious about the hobby. It makes cleaning mold lines on badly cast/injected models a breeze. Once you figure out how to angle it and how much pressure to use (practice on some models you don't care much about first), then this thing reduces model cleanup time by a lot.I grab this tool every single time I cut models off of a sprue. It works far better than a hobby knife at the same task.

Far more effective than expected
Once you figure out how to use this it works really good at removing mold lines and cleaning up other imperfections. It looks and feels like a metal blocky end that doesn't seem useful, but something about it just works despite this and it is far more useful than my hobby knife. It isn't as damaging so you can use it safer than a knife without risk of gouging something you are working on or leaving unnatural hard edges, this does a decent job of smoothing things out more like sandpaper or a shaving razor. It may cost a bit more than you would like, but there aren't many alternatives and it will be worth it in the long run compared to using a knife.

Perfect Weight in Hand
As a practice hobby artist I have tools from every range of the spectrum from cheap to pristine. This is one of the ones I actually happy I splurged on. It feels AMAZING in the hand. It’s substantial, it does it’s job. It’s just nice. If you can spare the money. I’d buy this again. It also comes in a cut out foam insert. I love it for having a perfect place to put it in my desk.

Quite surprised!
I sort of half-heartedly bought this tool. I do a fair amount of filing and scraping mold lines and flash with files (which I like) and also with an x-acto knife. I figured I had everything one could possibly have to correct miniatures. Not so.While this tool is expensive for what amounts to a tiny dull metal blade with a handle, it does have an edge that quickly scrapes of flashing and takes down the appearance of mold lines on plastic models incredibly well! I haven't tried it on metal miniatures, so I can't speak to that. One might think that an X-acto knife would do the same thing, which it does, but this actually does work better - not sure why/how, but it does. Maybe it helps that the blade on this tool is quite rigid and doesn't have the "play" that a thinner X-acto blade does. This hasn't replaced my files nor my X-acto knife, but I find myself using it more than the others these days. As other reviewers have stated, it is hard to get into tight places, so I simply grab one of the other familiar implements at my desk.I counted this as 4 stars because it is a little expensive and it doesn't get into those aforementioned tight areas easily but, if you give it a try, I think you'll find the result as surprising as I did.

The Tool You Didn't Know You Needed
Right now, you're looking at this and thinking "Why the hell would I buy this? It's just a blunt chunk of metal on the end, and I can already clear mouldlines with my exacto blade. What a waste!"I thought the same thing, until a buddy bought one. This has great handfeel, clears mouldlines *easier* than my exacto, and runs no risk of cutting into the model or my hands. Well worth the investment.

Works stupidly well.
These work stupidly well. I thought why bother spending 20$ on this when I can just use the back of a hobby knife. Then I started hearing podcasters rave about them. Still not convinced since I can save 20$ and use a hobby knife. Then my buddy had one and let me try it. I bought one for me and one for my sister. They work very very well. Much safer than a hobby knife. And they really work. Just buy it.

I know what you're thinking...
You're thinking, "Look at this stupid thing... another cynical cash-grab by GW, selling ridiculously overpriced garbage hobby tools." I thought the same thing. I've been using the back edge of a hobby knife to scrape off mold lines for decades. But when a podcast host I enjoy said that this thing works way better than you'd think and was actually worth it, I decided to give it a try. And yep, he was right. This thing works WAY better than the back edge of a hobby knife. Dunno why, but it does.So is it worth $15? Yup.

Don't be a turnip - get this scraper
I put a gash in my thumb almost an inch long with a hobby knife while scraping mould lines. The resin gave way unexpectedly and I was out of commission for a week. This mould line remover is a little pricey for what it is, but its about half the cost it would be in most hobby stores. That being said, it's definitely a sturdy tool and has more heft in it than I would have expected. Definitely helped me out a lot.
