Revised design works better than the original
I bought this because the twenty-year-old bathroom faucet's seals had given out, so it was either try to fix it or replace the whole faucet with a new one. I had already disassembled the faucet, so I felt alright in trying a repair. The faucet kit arrived promptly, and the same evening I set about applying it. I thought perhaps I would need to look online for instructions, but I found an instruction guide was printed with the package label. I looked over the parts, and was momentarily wondering whether I had ordered the right kit, but the instructions mentioned that the part design had changed. They also specified removing the adjustment ring that had the job of keeping enough pressure on gaskets so that they did not leak. I replaced the two small rubber sleeved seals for the supplies and their springs, after doing the recommended cleaning of the ports with a soft cloth. The new ball's post went through the gasket assembly, and all that went into the faucet barrel. I removed the no-longer-needed adjustment ring from the barrel cover, then tightened down the barrel cover. I positioned the handle to midway and slowly turned on the supply lines in turn, verifying no leakage was happening where it shouldn't, then bringing the handle to the closed position and seeing that there was no flow there. That all took me about thirty minutes, and I was being slow and making sure I read the directions because of the parts change. Next time, I think a changeover would take me maybe twenty minutes from starting disassembly to putting the decorative handle cover back on. The newly repaired faucet handle moves more freely, yet does not have any leakage. This is one time where the newly re-engineered solution succeeds brilliantly. It is easier to put together, has fewer adjustments that have to happen, and works better than the original ever did. Congratulations to the product designers.

EZ Repair
It stopped the leak. Used all parts. Its an easy repair if you can get the bonnet off. I could not so I had to hire a plumber. He had to use heat to get the bonnet lo unscrew, but the parts solved the problem.

Always better with OEM parts as this kit is.

Worked With A Modification
Update: kit basically works with one quirk. When the water is off and I turn the knob all the way to the cold side, it will start dripping. Turn it CCW slightly and it stops. Seems I have a 53 year old valve and the specs on replacement parts are slightly different. The wrench for the adjusting ring was too big for the adjusting ring on the original bonnet. I do plan to buy a new valve eventually but this works good enough for now. It does work smoothly and the handle doesn't leak at all. I still give it a 4 star rating.--------I bought a home 5 years ago with a Delta 600 shower valve in the master bath. I think quite possibly it was original when the house was built. As most others have had the bonnet nut stuck, my valve was no exception. I tried soaking it with vinegar and water on a rag for 20 minutes as Delta has suggested on their site. Don't waste your time, it won't work. I used a dremel to cut mine in 2 places to break a piece of it out. Yes, I did nick the treads on the shower valve itself towards the outer edge but it's not leaking as the spot is past the rubber seal.I had a surprise when I took the old washers out and found that longer springs had been used than were provided with the kit. Fortunately, I had ordered another after market repair kit that had the longer springs that I found in my valve. The seepage that was dripping seems to have stopped now. I used plumber's grease on the washers, ball, and treads. It operates very smoothly now. I have no idea if someone repaired the valve with the longer springs or if it came that way. This was worth the money. With all plumbing projects, I always buy multiples since you never know what you're going to encounter.

Great rebuild kit. This is the one you want to save time down the road
Avoid non-oem!! This is the kit that you want. If you have delta single handle tub/shower valves that drip a little bit when off, just get this entire rebuild kit here and replace all the components that are included. It’s easy to do and because it’s from delta, it’ll work. Even though there are kits from other manufacturers out there, I’ve always found with my experience in multifamily and places that have multiple of the same thing that needs preventative maintenance, that you want to use oem kits and not alternatives. Especially with plumbing!! Do it right the first time instead of solving the issue for a few months and having it come back. This kit from delta does the job and yes, just replace everything with the kit contents. Hard water and acid do a number on these components over the years and they are all wear parts that work together and should thusly be replaced in concert

Not the best stuff to fix your faucet
I replaced authentic Delta parts with these. Did not work well. I removed them and carefully reinstalled them to see if my installation was flawed. Same problem - stiff lever movement, uncertain stop position. Replaced this lit with the authentic Delta kit. Works perfectly.Stick to the Delta parts. They are worth the additional cost.
