Lindt Advent Calendar - 160G

It's chocolate!!!! What could be wrong!!!

Real Swiss chocolate, and as a part Italian-Swiss and part German-Swiss, and then the usual American mix, I don't care how old my sons are. I always buy them an Advent Calendar so that they have a chocolate a day in the winter, when it is otherwise cold and miserable. In Europe, chocolate cannot be called chocolate unless it has cocoa solids and cocoa butter to a minimum percentage. Real chocolate contains flavonoids, which are antioxidants, so anti-cancer and also good for the brain. When I was a kid, I ate chocolate and butter sandwiches on white bread, every chance I got :)

Package arrived fine, but upon opening December 1 it was a huge disappointment. Bought this calendar for my 6 yr old grandson. Thinking it doesn't get much better than Lindt. I am so embarrassed and disappointed. I can understand chocolate changing colors with temperature, but this goes way beyond that. This candy is so old it just crumbles. looks awful and unappetizing. I took one bite and spit it out! You would think Lindt was better than that. Please don't do it! And it's not cheap.

I have enjoyed this advent calender. The chocolates are good. It would be nice if the chocolates were slightly larger, but they are fine. I do wish there was a little more variety. Essentially you get one large one on the 1st and the 24th. The rest of the month is "3" chocolates. Two are the same just in different wrappers. I guess with the variety Lindt has, I felt they could do better.

I loved this advent calendar. It's was so fun to find the days. I do wish the pieces would have been a little bigger but honestly I felt like it was definitely worth the money. I will be purchasing another one next year for me and my daughtet

For the price, I expected more from this advent calendar. The majority of the chocolates are the tiny truffles, which are probably a quarter size of the usual truffle. We also bought a walker shortbread advent calendar for a similar price, and we will buy that one going forward because the size of the daily cookies is a better value for the money than this. The chocolates taste fine, but we just wish they were much bigger. Also, some of the openings are hard to open up each day.
