Easy to work with, good design

They’re meant for in concrete but can be used for other purposes if done right and maintained. I used one of these to help drain water collecting from the patio against the backside of the house and move it away then down a hill. Works really well, in heavy storms can see all the water that used to collect by the foundation of the house being collected and rerouted down and out. Plan on connecting pvc piping to avoid more erosion but they work well. The metal grate makes it easy to clean off debris that collects on top, and it easily pops off to clean inside, then clips back in. If connecting more than one, I would use some sort of sealant in the joints, flex seal or any silicone caulk should do the trick.

Very disappointing. End caps flimsy and easily break. Joining sections together is not secure. The most obvious drain connection is not included and must be purchased from the manufacturer. It is poorly designed and does not connect with the drain pipe easily.

Had a problem with water coming off the roof and washing the sand out of the pavers. Didn't want to put gutters up, would look stupid with open timber roof. So I spent a day taking up some pavers, cutting them so the trench would fit and then chipping out the concrete so it would sit flush. Had some difficulty getting them to stay stuck together, but in the end they work well and look pretty nice. Good price as well.

Need better instruction of install to secure placement. Found deepening the item and placing a 2" gravel cover works really well for French drains.

Like this product. It works great

The joints are weak and do not hold position when set. We poured concrete and had to set stakes, drill into the plastic, caulk the screws inside and 1 of the 4 sections shifted slightly at the joint, and was not straight due to the flimsy jointing. There are no levelers, therefore your base should be leveled and compacted to the grade or make your own levelers and engineer it. The other major issue, no plumbing pipe or flex pipe will fit to the outfeed that is provided. We caulked and did our best, it will leak. I would have sent it back, but we were scheduled and had no choice. The flimsy plastic structure will likely cause issues getting the grates in and out also. I would not purchase this again.
