Amazon Basics Multi-Speed Immersion Hand Blender for Kitchen Mixing, Smoothies, Soups, 500 Watt Powerful, Silver

I'm currently chef de cuisine in a steady volume restaurant, and I needed a new immersion blender. So I bought this because the price was right, and 500w has some 'oomph' to it.I low-key expected this thing to be kind of a throwaway, but after a week of constant, heavy use, i've been pleasantly surprised! I've three sauces and two foams on the line that more or less need constant re-aeration/emulisification before and during service.Pros:-- powerful-- nice, heavy weight (doesn't feel 'cheap')-- easy adjustible speed wheel, and a "turbo" button for the insane person-- detachable head is simple enough, steel easy to rinse off quickly. 8" long, works great-- cord is 5ft long from base to prong-- great price pointCons:-- not cordless (but the cord is long enough that it probably isnt a big deal if you're working smart)-- it is a *little* chonky to keep on the line with it's length, but not terrible. Especially if you keep the head unit detached.-- maybe would have liked a color option, because two of my cooks are now buying this thing++ It's only been a week of heavy use so far, so time will tell, but so far, thoroughly impressed++//** UPDATE --02/02/23 -- I've been using this thing several times a day for months now. Still in perect working order, as if it had just come out of the box. Still powerful, still easy to use. No issues. Mind how you wrap the cord (as with any electrical tool), so as not to wear out the cord's connection to the unit. Would 1000% buy again //**// ** UPDATE #2 -- 10/26/23. Still going strong. Still pretty much daily use. No issues to speak of. ** //// ** UPDATE #3 -- 05/18/25 -- Wow. I can't believe this review is still here.. ..anyway, haven't been cooking professionally in awhile, but this blender still sees use about once a week. Still no complaints or issues. This thing has ALOT of power and for the price you get more than what you pay for. I prefer corded appliances because you never have to worry about the battery health. Great value for the money. Time will tell how long it lasts but with my experience AmazonBasics are quality products. Would recommend!

This thing is my new best friend. I was tired of getting the blender out for everything so this has saved me the trouble! I like to blend my cottage cheese to use in recipes for added protein and I can just blend it right in the container. SUPER powerful which is impressive for its size. Easy to use and out together/take apart. Blends so well. Love that the colors match my other kitchen appliances. Such a functional little tool!

I purchased one of these in summer 2023 and it stopped working summer 2024. Purchased another one in September 2024 and used it maybe a dozen times. Brought it out of the cabinet today and it now doesn’t work. Not even heavy usage (mostly making sauces from vegetables in the garden) and two have broken in two years. Will not be purchasing a third time.

The media could not be loaded. WOULD buy again. I wanted to make my own mayonnaise and this works perfect! I tried using other blenders but it didn’t work like this did.PROS: Heavy duty (not cheap feeling), works well, does exactly what I need it to do - good blending. Many different speeds and easy to change. Easily Stands up on the counter on both ends.CONS: Bulky, weight could affect how easy it might be for someone to use.Length: pretty long from end to end.Storage: comes in 2 pieces with NO blade guard/protection. This could be a hazard.

What I like about this mixex/ blender is the force that it has, it can mix very fast Ans slow speed, is super easy to clean, the blender parts are dishwasher safe, the handle is not bit is easy to wipe.This blender/mixer is w was sy yo store because is slim and tall, so it fits in small spaces. Over all a great product.This is a fantastic mixer

This is a high quality appliance. We used it to make apple butter and it worked wonders. Fully recommend purchasing this. Plus it’s so much cheaper than other brands.

I received recently this blender and I am very happy with it. I used it for bean soup and it did a great job. It is a little heavy maybe,.I have no point of comparaison as I never had one before. I do not see the point of having several speeds. It ran smooth and fast. I loved the price point. Super easy to use, easy to clean, it is all I needed.
