Anyone know how this compares to "Liquid Smoke" type products? Old family recipe for beef jerky uses LS, which is not available where I live now.

This doesn't add any particular flavour that you could pin down, it's certainly not smokey, it adds more of a Umami quality to your food though. I use it to add Umami to my smoked beef briskets as part of the marinade.

Why is there no ‘best before date’ in the picture? i'd like to know the best before end. thanks

Hi I've had my bottles for some time . I get six at a time and am already on my third bottle. Best before date is on the label on the side. Mine are all best before 10.22.
