I used this to fix the body of a guitar, and it worked like a charm.

Good Quality
I received 4 good quality pieces of Mahogony square at the ends. Great for hand carving and woodworking, which is what I do, but these would be good for turning on a power lathe as well. Very pleased. I have some flat plane little critters will look good in this wood. :)

Beautiful wood but not for pen blanks
I bought these with the intent of using them in a few turning projects. First, it turns really well and if you're using it for a project that does not get thin in spots, you're going to have a beautiful outcome. I took one of the blanks and resawed to 3/4" x 3/4" for pen blanks. On two attempts, I was not successful. Even super glued to the brass tube, I had blowouts on the tapered ends where they met the pen bushings. So, great product but consider your intended use case. Unfortunately, it's just a little too soft and fragile when thin so it's probably not a good candidate for a pen without stabilizing the wood, which I'd probably not buy in this state and already stabilized. Will be using the rest for espresso portafilter handles.

Very pleased
This is a nice find and buy in my opinion. Great pieces of wood, seems prettt symmetrical and easy to work with.

Good quality mahogany pieces
I bought these to see if they match the 1" thick 15" x 80" mahogany board I bought to make a new set of washboards for my sailboat. They seem like a good match, so I guess that mahogany, which I was told is Honduran mahogany, is the same as this "African" mahogany. They seem to be just as hard and a good match in color, smell, and grain to that chocolate colored board. I'll be varnishing my washboards, so I'll varnish one or two of these 2" x 2" x 6" pieces at the same time, and post some photos. I figured I would be able to use these four bits of wood as spacers or blocks to lay stuff on or hold something up. I'm sure they'll come in handy in a lot of ways, as will the off-cuts from the board I used to make my new washboards.
