One of our favorite games!
Somewhat expensive but super fun! Play this at parties and with couples dinners, it's a great trivia game with a fun gambling element to it. Lots of trivia questions and you can come up with side bet/follow up questions which is fun too! Easy to learn, can be short or long. Great game!

Fun trivia party game for anyone, whether they are trivia savvy or not.
This game is a fun small to large group party game. If you have lots of people it's easy to pair up and make teams, or play individually with at least 4 players. I love this game because although it has trivia involved, you don't actually have to know or have the exact right answers to be able to win. The questions are simple, yet fun, and I've learned a few things playing. There are several versions of this game and they basically operate the same. This version is the best in my opinion. The others are simpler versions and some are more adult themed. This one is family friendly and more fun than the simpler, cheaper versions. Wits and wagers isn't really gambling but does have game parts that look similar to gambling pieces. Although it has a gambling look to it, I still think it is family friendly and even educational.

Fun and Educational Game
I heard this board game being advertised on a radio talk show and decided to pick one up off of Amazon. When it came in the mail, the Amazon box was undamaged, however, the game box itself had a dent in the top right corner of it. This is a minor complaint as I won't be using the box, however, Wits and Wagers is a very fun game and doesn't take too long to play. It can be played with from 4 to 7 players but I found that it can be played with 3 people just fine. Wits and Wagers is a trivia game, however, you don't have to be a trivia buff to win. The answers are all in number format and the questions are fun and interesting. I found that I only knew a few of the answers to the questions which makes gameplay even more fun. Betting is a great addition to the game and adds an element of risk-taking and gambling to this already fun game. I haven't played the regular version to compare the Deluxe Edition to, however, I can say that the Deluxe Edition does indeed look and feel deluxe. The wager chips are heavy and feel like actual poker chips. In addition to the wager chips, the playing mat is made of felt and the answer cards are made of thick cardboard. The game also comes with 7 black markers to write on the answer cards with. The markers have an eraser built-in to the cap which is very useful in erasing the answer cards, rather than using a paper towel. The betting chips are made of cardboard, and while they are of good quality, Wits and Wagers doesn't come with a lot of them. When playing with less than 4 people, the betting chips can run out pretty quickly; in some games, they run out in less than 30 minutes. However, this is a minor complaint as this game was never meant to be played with less than 4 people. Overall, Wits and Wagers is a very fun game which incorporates elements from gambling and trivia to create a very fun and educational game made with quality materials.Pros:- Fun- Educational- Made with quality materialsCons:- Dented box upon arrival- Too few betting chipsIf you found this review helpful I would appreciate it if you clicked the "helpful" button below this review. Best Game in the House
We were getting tired of "Apples to Apples" so I bought "Wits and Wagers" on a recommendation from a well known talk show host. (People will refuse to give me helpful votes even without mentioning his name :-). Anyway... we finally were able to get the entire family together to play. It was a blast. There was a lot of discussion about the question and related topics and stories as the game was played. It got all of my kids involved and talking (ages 17-28). Only once did someone say, "Hold on a sec, I have to answer this text."By mutual consent, we made a couple of rule changes. One, we did not time the answering or the betting. Only once in a while did someone take a long time to answer. When this happened, the rest of us simply prodded the person to write something down as you don't have to even be close. You can be many orders of magnitude off and still have fun. Two, we didn't do 7 questions at a time. We kept going until we were running low on tokens then announced the next question would be the last one for the current round. This invariably caused most of us to go "all in" in the next round of betting.I highly recommend this game. Buy it.

Luck counts too!
Played this game for the first time with husband and son. It is a little challenging because some of the answers are not hard and fast and it is based on information from 2012. For example, one question asked how much more money Judge Judy made than all nine supreme court justices together. Each round is won by placing your bets on the closest answer without going over and there are 7 rounds. Not all questions are about money. It was fun and a little surprising because sometimes - as with all gambles, you're just lucky. We did think it would be more fun with more people but enjoyed it even amongst our trio.
